well, it used to be an hispanic escort club, so you're not that far off. there's an interview somewhere where Bob or someone from the staff says that they still get old Mexican dudes coming in every now and then who are totally confused that it is now a hipster craft beer bar with hazebros and girls in mom jeans

Yes I read or heard somewhere about this before. Pretty interesting. It's got that feel for some reason.

 

i know of one that is switching over so it looks like there will be some familiar faces at chinatown HPB!

 

My gf used to work at Highland Park Billiards about ten years ago. When they'd run out of beer the owner would send her down to the Hermosillo with a handtruck to borrow more beer from them until their regular delivery. She said the dancers there were always offering her coke. She's got major mixed feelings about the changes in the neighborhood over those ten years but loves beer so she loves the current Hermosillo.

 

it's a shame that we have to choose. I love craft beer too, but it would be nice if we could also have cocaine and female escorts all under the same roof
