For those that have been before, what is the temp in the caves normally? Have no idea what to expect.

I don’t think I took my coat off at the last one, but it’s a lot warmer than outside. I would guess high 50s.

45 degrees all the time. I usually wear a couple layers and ingest alcohol until I feel warm and then continue as needed.

Additional detail of a new BT stout pouring at the Cave Fest from the Growler Mag (per their Mash-Up email newsletter).

    Barrel Theory Threat Level Midnight

Barrel Theory’s new imperial stout is an ode to “The Office” character Michael Scott’s fictional movie, “Threat Level Midnight.” The limited release imperial stout is made with maple, coffee, and vanilla and will be exclusively available at Casanova’s Dark Beer Cave Fest in Hudson this Saturday. 9.1% ABV

Apparently Bent Paddle is bringing a keg of 17 BADSDB. I would have preferred regular BADB or the Madagascar Vanilla Double Black they've had at the taproom, but it's still a damn good beer. Don't get me wrong, I love BADSDB, but it's always available nowadays.

We're getting to the point where their cellaring is stoopid...the list is silly. We're all gonna be singing zippity do dah out our assholes at 4 on Saturday.

If I wasn't going to this fest today, I would have spent the entire afternoon at the Nova Bar drinking George T. Stagg for $11 a pop. Best goddamn price on a glass of bourbon I have ever seen.

I count 124 selections on the program, with one additional 'Assassin' short lived pour from Toppling Goliath, and one IPA from Barrel Theory. I got to try about 35 different beers, most of them dark but also a couple of good sours and the Barrel Theory IPA.
Food offered was satays, jambalaya, and sweet potato slices. All very tasty.
Crowd was manageable, with one acoustic music performer.
Lines settled down and were manageable after an hour or so. All involved were cordial and generally well mannered.
Lots of beer appears to have been consumed in the three hours of the event.

Plus 1 bottle of regal rye opened at 2:30, less the cherry stout from CW unless it was gone before I had a chance to get it.

Edit: overall awesome time. Everyone was friendly and manageable as MDJ posted above. Tickets for Morning Delight were nice knowing that we could get to that table whenever. Food was tasteful and plenty for a first timer.

The Coconut Assassin was pretty good, but it’s disappointing it was so limited.

Does anyone have a complete beer list?

Sorry about the stains and hash marks and stuff. Hopefully this is legible enough.

Had a great time - good to meet a few folks from BA and Facebook, and that Coco Assassin was a treat. Cheers, guys!
