Had a Bike Rack IPA at a new-ish place we just tried. The beer was like the food, okay, not good. Be time for anonther once this food settles. More BBC Wildlife action tonight...

Wow, this thing has some ass to it, 8+ %. I was planning on easing my way into a year old dogfish 120 while watching the Rolex24 ease into tomorrow. As y'all know this is a nice 4+ in all categories across the board....

Skull Splitter, excellent. I had this beer years before I even knew what craft was.

Tonight working on reducing the size of the stock in the cellar. This evening's beer has been in the basement quietly waiting it's destiny since 2012. The beer is Hanssens Experimental Cassis Lot B (IIRC probably brewed in 2011) with a very long shelf life. While many didn't care for this beer I enjoyed my last one enough to cellar this one for 5 years. The almost totally uncarbonated Fruit Lambic seems a bit less complex than I remember but still is very tart and showing lots of black current flavor with touches of oak.

While having a beer that has aged, I've a bit of music on the player that deals with aging as well. In 1957 a duo that is said to have had a strong influence on the music of the Beatles.

    WooHoo!!!
I mean, I knew about the beer, but the 4-packs? Nice going Crooked Stave! This is crazy good, too...

Here's something else I just discovered:

Some old German television featuring the original lineup, including Brian Eno. What a fabulous freak he was, and the whole band was on freakin' fire! To me, this is like a holy grail experience, so once again: thank you YouTubers!!!

We welcome you to the club. Where you watch the same episode of Team Umizoomi that you recorded last summer 1,000 times, then the day after your kids say they don't want to watch it anymore and you delete it, you end paying $1.99 on Amazon Prime to watch it again. And then you start doing the crazy shake at work when something goes your way without even thinking about it. At least we have barrel-aged stouts and NEIPAs to get us through. Our ancestors just had brandy and Schlitz.

That is from the game show episode. Haha. My New Year's Eve ritual is watching The Honeymooners marathon on WPIX every year.

But he ignores his family. He lives for BA interaction. And the kids (four legged, of course), are better for it.

When I moved to Arkansas I never thought I'd have trouble getting this beer. However, I haven't seen it here in the two years I've been here. I'll be very sad if I don't get any 2018.

Broken angel is a pretty bad ass beer. It’s pretty sour though. The Dialed in series are actually better with age. I thought Vicinity was ok. The problem is preception, you want some bitterness out of your IPAs and a little depth with malts. Trillium doesn’t have that they are juice bombs, just like a lot of the brewers. It’s the new ipa less bitterness lots of fruit. The discussions of the “trend” of NEIPA being a fad is stupid. This is the evolution of IPAs just like could you even drink an English IPA today? Wait can you find one? It’s the way of the IPA it keeps evolving.
