    So much fun already! Over a month later and I haven't yet seen a cent, but I'm inches away ... from the starting line of having the money and getting the contractors to actually start working!

    BEER THREAD RE-RAIL: The 2009 Trader Joe's Vintage Ale, which I discovered to my surprise in the back of my garage fridge, was not worthy of fueling the above update. It was no longer overly sweet, but likewise, it was no longer flavorful enough to palate. (Je suis désolé, Unibroue! C'est ma faute!)

    Awesome!!!! I gots big love for Alespike as is (no shit, they are some of the nicest folks in the industry I've met. And, there's lots of nice folks). Now, 16oz crowlers? I've never heard of such a thing. I am, however, very interested in investigating.

    Was surprised when we received 750ml crowlers at the comp from multiple breweries. Shorter, but slightly wider, than 32oz. Can't think of anyone in the NW using that format.

    Iron Goat Brewing now has a crowler on premises. Their method is unique, at least locally, in that they pre-crowl. Order a crowler of beer x, they walk to a designated crowler fridge and grab one for you.

    My local grocery store (Vashon Thriftway) does that. It always makes me wonder if the beer is fresh. Do prefilled crowlers last as long as the beer in the keg?

    Don't know yet in this instance. Broadly speaking, a crowler should last as long as any canned beer, so long as it's been filled all the way up. Sometimes, though, people will not be willing to let a head completely settle before putting the lid on, and there's enough space left in the crowler for oxygen to do it's thing. Might not be a big deal if it sits for a couple days, but if it's not been filled properly and sits for weeks, that could be a problem.
