Good evening BA, hope everyone had a good Tuesday. Another fairly busy and quick feeling work day once again. Had a couple meetings, and have a present tomorrow for another one.

    Today's reviews:

Very nice IPA from Actual Brewing. Great head retention and thick soapy lacing on the glass. Flavors of big lemon, grapefruit, tangerine, peach, pineapple, mango, melon, lemon/orange zest, citrus peel/rind, mint, pepper, and pine hops; with some biscuit, light caramel malts; and herbal, woody, floral, grassy hop earthiness. Similar/muted aromas. Good amount of pine, citrus rind, herbal, woody, grassy, peppery bitterness on the finish. Medium carbonation/body, and moderate crisp; balanced bready/grainy malts and sticky/resinous/rindy hops in the mouthfeel. Moderate increasing resin dryness; some light lingering hop astringency on the finish, but not overwhelming. Aggressive, yet easy drinking. Very unique hop profile, Eureka and Lemondrop hops. Very dank and vibrant citrus/earthy hop complexity; solid bready malt backbone, with zero residual sweetness. Really enjoyable stuff, despite it's aggressiveness. 3.88

Very nice Gose. Great head retention/lacing for the style. Aromas and flavors of juicy watermelon, tart lemon, lime, peach, pear, red/green apple, and sea salt; with moderate wheat, cracker, white bread dough malts; herbal/grassy hops, light lacto funk, and yeast earthiness. Light-moderate fruity/lactic tartness; light fruit tang, bitterness, and peppery spiciness on the finish. Medium carbonation, light-medium body, and moderate crisp/clean finishing. Bready/grainy wheat; some lactic acid, fruit tang, stickiness, and light salinity in the mouthfeel. Moderate increasing tart/tangy/spicy dryness. Zero pucker. Super flavorful/refreshing, 4.2%. Never watery for the ABV. Not as acidic as I expected, but definitely adequate. This was spot on stuff. Authentic watermelon flavors with balanced Lacto fruitiness; nice bready pale/wheat/Vienna malt backbone, and not overly salty. No Jolly ranchers or cucumber notes from the watermelon, which I really liked. Really delicious stuff. 3.88

Excellent Belgian IPA. Aromas and flavors of big lemon, tangerine, grapefruit, peach, pear, pineapple, mango, melon, red apple, citrus peel, coriander, peppercorn, clove, pine, and light banana/bubblegum yeast; with moderate wheat, cracker, white bready malts; herbal, floral, grassy hops; and yeast earthiness. Light-moderate pine/citrus peel/herbal/grassy bitterness and peppery yeast spiciness on the finish. Medium carbonation/body; balanced bready/grainy wheat and hop/spice stickiness in the mouthfeel. Light-moderate increasing bitter/spicy dryness, no hop/spice astringency. Very easy drinking, never aggressive, 6%. Loral and Citra hops. Great balanced fruity/spicy yeast, spices, and citrus/earthy hop complexity; with a nice pale/wheat malt backbone, with minimal residual sweetness. There needs to be more White IPAs, I hope they get a style renaissance soon. This was a new release last month, and North Peak also made one a few months ago. 4

Stillwater collab. This was excellent. Super deep ruby/purple color, decent head retention, minimal lacing. Aromas and flavors of big juicy/tart/tangy blueberries, fruit skin, raisin, plum, prune, fig, date, pear, red apple, red grape, lime, and citrus zest; with balanced caramel, brown sugar, toffee, brown bread, toasted biscuit malt sweetness; with light notes of molasses, pepper, roast, herbal/grassy hops, and yeast earthiness. Light herbal bitterness, yeast spiciness, and fruit tang/tartness on the finish. Light-medium carbonation and fairly full body; very creamy/bready/grainy malt mouthfeel; some fruit tang/acidity; light slick/syrupy sugars and sticky hops. Lightly increasing tart/tangy/spicy dryness, zero cloying sweetness. Minimal warming 12%. Surprisingly delicious! Was not sure what to expect. This tastes like a fruited Belgian Strong Dark ale with a fuller/stronger malty sweet finish. Very well balanced fruit, malts, yeast ester/spice. They boiled it for a long time to caramelize the sugars and add melanoidins. Really impressive, not overdone on any aspect. 4

Pretty tasty brew, I like it. I've climbed most of my few 14ers in this range close to BV. As far as I remember I've only been to the restaurant once, in 14.

My first Eisbock....hoping the 04-01-17 date on the back is a bottled on date and not a best buy date. Oh well at 12% it should still hold up fairly well.

    Canned 1/15/18.
Moderate pour yields a one inch plus white head over a slightly hazy light golden body with some sticky lacing. Nose of pine, citrus, tropical fruit, and a bit of candied fruit as well. Taste follows with flavors of tropical fruit , citrus, and a bit of pine bitterness on a fairly dry finish. Nice feel and a real good job from Danville, VT. Cheers!
