Local brewery pumping out a style, frankly, I want to see more of. This is perfect in terms of a good Brown ale.

I had my first Sierra Nevada Pale Ale for the first time in probably 7 or 8 years the other weekend while in Vegas. Stuff was tasty and now you have made me thirsty. I knew I shouldn't have checked in on this thread tonight.....as I have every intention of making tonight a dry night.

Kind of at a lack of words for this one. It’s super tart and flavorful, but maybe too much so? Tickin’:

Slow jam for the Raul man:

Fantastic as usual. Flavors of big toasted coconut, milk chocolate, cocoa, caramel, vanilla, cream, toffee, dark bread, marshmallow, and light coffee. Light balancing roast bitterness against sweetness; with an amazing creamy/silky/velvety medium body; light touch of sticky/chalky roast character and dryness. Glad it was easier to find this year. Definitely my top favorite coconut beer, but there are plenty others I buy more often. Wish this was year round. I bought a full case worth of 4 packs this year. This, Born Yesterday, and Xocoveza are my top big buy beers of the season every year now.

Fantastic NEIPA. Aromas and flavors of big tangerine, grapefruit, peach, pear, pineapple, passion fruit, papaya, mango, melon, guava, berry, lemon zest, orange peel, and light pepper/pine hops; with moderate wheat, biscuit, light honey malts; and herbal, floral, grassy hop earthiness. Very mild pine, citrus peel, grassy, spicy bitterness on the finish. Medium carbonation and medium-plus body; great creamy/silky wheat mouthfeel with light hop stickiness. Slightly drying, never astringent. Super drinkable. Juicy, vibrant, dank hops; balanced malts, no residual sweetness. Glad they revamped the recipe, higher ABV now. The real huge issue I had with the original 5.9% batch was it was really rough and drying on the finish. This is less hazy than it was before, but the mouthfeel is super soft and spot on. Will keep buying this rotation-ally. Citra, Mosaic, Amarillo hops. Spot on stuff. A new favorite of many.

Awesome as usual this year. Amazing lasting head retention and thick soapy lacing the whole glass. Aromas and flavors of big grapefruit, tangerine, lemon zest, orange peel, citrus rind, light pepper, and pine hops; with balanced caramel, toasted bread malts; and herbal, floral, grassy hop earthiness. Light-moderate pine, citrus peel, grassy, spicy bitterness on the finish. Medium carbonation/body; balanced creamy/bready malts and sticky hops in the mouthfeel. Light resins/rinds, increasing bitter dryness, no hop astringency. Insanely drinkable. Super juicy and lightly dank Chinook/Centennial/Cascade hops; perfect malt balance, never overly sweet/heavy feeling. I love C hops all year, the fresh hops are very obvious with the herbal/spicy quality going on. Grabbed another pack a couple weeks ago. SN IPAs always hold up extremely well, will still taste great for a couple more months at least.

Fantastic! Flavors of big milk chocolate, cocoa, caramel, vanilla, toffee, bourbon, toasted oak, almonds, and dark/brown bread; with lighter notes of coconut, smoke, molasses, and dark fruits. Mild roast bitterness and bourbon/oak tannin spice on the finish. Light-medium carbonation and fairly full body. Very creamy, bready, silky malt mouthfeel; slight chalky roast, oak tannins, and dryness. Super smooth sipper, zero warming 11%. Very rich and complex, with perfect balance between dark/roast malts and bourbon barrel character. Great barrel integration with minimal booze. I spend too much time buying the variants all year, that I forget how much I love the base beer. Gets even better with age as well. Will definitely keep it around more often moving forward. This is a year round flagship beer for New Holland, which is a rare occurrence for any brewery.

Fussing up a storm but cute as hell (meaning she does not look like me). My lovely bride and I are spending the week helping out. They have two dogs. One has kidney disease and is like having to care for another kid.

Glad to hear about your training. I messed up my ribs (do not ask how) so I have not been able to train for a month. I am raring to get back to the gym.

Hello once again, BA's and LNBA's! I'm closing things out with another one from Boulevard: Black Walnut Ale, from their Tasting Room series. They used a ton (well, almost half a ton, actually) of crushed black walnuts in the mash, imparting a beautiful aroma and flavor to the finished beer. I'm going to hunt down another one of these and make some beer bread with it. With black walnuts, of course. :yum:
