Cellarmaker to start bottling.

Oh damn, Big Lots is definitely in the early lead for hoppy beer of the year IMO. I expect it to get surpassed, possibly as early as Beer Week, but Aroma, mouthfeel, bitterness, juiciness, flavor all on point. Holy shit. Thanks @thuey !

Galaxy Dobis was good, but not great. The Galaxy flavor a little overshadowed by the bitterness, and I've found myself gravitating away from Citra hops lately for some reason. Looking forward to trying the Enigma version next week since I've really been liking that hop profile recently..

 

Damn, Big Lots is tasting good as hell right now.

 

It's so good. I made the mistake of having one before a Humble Sea Broceanography, which I'd previously really liked - made it taste average at best.

 

Agreed. Big Lots is the best beer I've had from either of these two breweries in some time.

 

This, plus Moonage Daydream cans, a week from now. So glad it's not during Beer Week. Can't wait to get my hands on these.

Very nice that they did this before beer week, but I also feel that there's gonna be a beer week canning/bottling. Cant wait for their schedule to come out.

That's awesome... But probably means they won't be canning it any time soon. Oh well.

 

Cellarmaker has posted their beer week schedule to the website. Lots of returning highlights (BB Vanilla Latte Vastness, Turok Juice, Orange Julian, Dobis Plus) and some interesting new ones (Maple BB Evil Spread, Lighten Up, Chewy Porter) with a mixed fermentation saison bottle on Thursday the 8th. Still glad the cans are on the 6th and not the 13th.

 

So, I'll ask... What time would I need to get over to Cellarmaker in order to get cans as close to opening as possible? I have to be in Fresno by 5 with a stop in Oakland on the way, so would need to be on the road by 12:15pm at the latest. I'll probably just skip it, but I'm having a hard time passing up this collar in my head lol

 

I'd stay at least 10am.

 

In town for today for business. Was wondering how crazy these can releases are. Long lines, quick sell out?

 

I believe the last release (Alvarado collab and Dobis variants) lasted until between 5 and 6pm if I'm not mistaken.

 

Moonraker collab so I expect it to go a little faster. I'm heading over around two and hopefully the initial line will be gone and I'll walk right up and grab mine.

 

Haha we have pretty much the exact same plan...

 

The allocation limit for Moonraker collab is higher than the ASB collab, so I don't think it'll go to 5/6.

For anyone wondering the line when I got here (11:45AM) was at the end of the gym. Consistently staying that way as of 12:24PM
