Trollolol it’s all about dat juice bomb lyfe ... the latest monkish release is selling for $120/4 pack on the reselling websites. The stupid glassware is selling for just as much. It’s a damn glass with a logo lol yet people are paying that much or trading whalez for a glass. That’s what wrong with the whole beer scene these days.

 

These posts are breaking my brain. There is no world where waiting in line for three hours for beer isn’t dumb as all goddamn hell.

 

Hey, I hear Younger is making its rounds. Remember when we were dumb and waited in line for a pour of a TIPA? hee. yeah.

 

So you used to wait hours in line for beer and now you talk shit on people who wait hours in line for beer? Cool.

 

This is getting out of hand now.

I gotta say...I really admire how HopHead is handling this. Most people would've have lost it by now.

Personally I wouldn't wait in a 3 hour line for some beer but ya know...to each his own. I have other things to think about other than a group of people lining up somewhere.

 

Why does HopHead have a Pacifico avatar is the real question.

 

Crazy what hindsight is, right? I think even in the earlier post it was pretty clear, that when you look back at the dumb things you did for "beer" that is now common, such as driving down to SD for that BA Speedway hobo shitshow with a sour side car, you reflect on it and you go "man, maybe I should warn those who are doing that now in some capacity"

I think it's called a cautionary tale or... you know, learning from past experience so that future generations won't make the same mistake.

 

I understand what you’re trying to say, but I guess we just don’t agree on what a “mistake” is, or what there is to be “cautious” of (as it relates to beer). 7 or 8 years ago, friends and I drove hours to and from KRBC and came back with 8 growlers of Citra. No way I would do that today. Would seem silly to me now, but no way would I call it a mistake, or warn others about it. We had a blast! It was an enjoyable experience. Yes, KRBC and Monkish are apples and oranges, but beer is the goal in both cases. And more power to those people if they wanna wait in line in a parking lot for said beer.

And just to be clear. I don’t know anything about raffling or reselling beer. Nor do I support either. I don’t even trade beer anymore. I’m simply talking about the actual beer experience, which Mr Pacifico seems to be enjoying the hell out of.

 

Pacifico Boy is giddy on hazy beer. A virgin who’s popped his hops too many times.

 

The bummer is that you can't "ignore" Mr. Pacifico and still see the Monkish thread . . . when you ignore a BA, you also can't see any thread they've started. Anyone want to petition the mods to make this a monthly or quarterly thread, started by someone else?

 

True. I try to ignore Monks thread. I’ll ocasionally read through it quickly. But with PacBoy’s bright yellow avatar it’s hard not to respond. Not just on Monks thread but almost all threads. I think it’s the Pacifico avatar. Or maybe that’s just a cover for PacBoy. He really drinks Pacifico beers. And hates craft. Not that there’s anything wrong with that.
