Vortex is a solid release. If I can nit-pick, I'd say it lacks a certain depth/finish to put it up with some of the beers that I prefer. With that being said, I think if Noon Whistle can continue to excel at a couple of these Gummy offerings, I'll be very happy. I am also very excited to try this Turquoise.

Agreed Vortex is nice and very drinkable but the finish is lacking something m. It isn’t off putting or bad, it’s just a little weak for example mosaic and gummy buddy had much better finishes imo. Looking forward to gummypocolypse on Thursday!!

I get an odd aftertaste on Vortex. I think it might be wheat? The beginning and middle are great though. Pretty much my feeling on all of the gummies I’ve tried. Really close just not quite there.

Vortex was maybe the second can offering ive had from them. Really solid but I agree. Its missing a finishing note.

Anybody get over to Noon Whistle for Gummypocalypse release today other than me?

It’s pretty good they said on Facebook it was canned today and it definitely tastes and smells very fresh. I like it, good overall beer I think Vortex was better up from on the palate but the finish with pocalypse is better it has a little bite to the finish that was missing in vortex. You certainly can tell this is stronger then vortex but it’s not boozy by any stretch of the imagination.

I’ll keep coming back I’m liking their beers and their staff is awesome. The guy who was working the to go line was awesome to chat with even for a brief time as a line was forming behind me.

I stopped by, as I was working near there. Completely agree with @Beardown98. I chatted up the to-go guy as well. He said they have a batch of Hop Prism Turquoise going at the moment. They would like to do Gold again, but it sounds like the hops are tough to come by. Makes sense. I believe Alpine had to stop making Nelson for the same reason. And I will definitely be coming back. Keep up the great work, Noon Whistle!

Yeah the staff at NW is awesome across the board. We’ve seen a very recent influx of Nelson beers but that might have just been a one time spike. Galaxy beers have been more available lately by comparison and that’s saying something

What other Nelson beers have been made recently? I can't get enough Nelson hops!

Mikerphone brewed one yesterday so that’ll be out in a few weeks and Corridor had it in H2H as one of the hops. It seems like Hill Farmstead and Trillium have been using them very recently as well. Not exactly a boom but it had pretty well dried up there for awhile

Picked up some Gummy Vortex Friday for the weekend. And I thought this batch was excellent. Tons of pineapple. Probably my favorite gummy can I’ve had. And out of all the beers I’ve picked up recently this may be my favorite even compared to HB and FR beers I’ve had.

Looking forward to having more gummy cans this summer. That 360 can is perfect for camping and golfing in my opinion.

Not sure. I picked the cans up at Skokie Binny’s. And I’m glad I did. It’s awesome.

It’s there now in cans (I think) along with Hop Prism Turquoise. Gummypacolypse was on draft along with 3 Bernie variants (I liked the Lucky Charms one actually). The bartender said the Gummy series will basically now be quarterly releases which was news to me. Also, they’ve picked the ones they liked and will be repeating them

Just an FYI that I had a HPT DB: 4/22 and it was just as fantastic as when it was first released.

Interesting, next collab, Cubbie Gummy, is due out soon. It will be draft only. Lucky Dorr I heard should have on tap all during summer, and NW will too and it's going to be called Go Gummy Go at brewery.

What do Noon Whistle's "drink by" dates mean in terms of actual canning date? Just had a "drink by 05-09" Gummy Vortex that seems weeks past its prime.
