Brewery only. Should be an interesting release. The mules are already taking orders on the FB groups.

I've commented enough on the FB threads.

But they claim they produced just as much as last year, but they are doing this to "protect their brand" and that customers waited in line at a release and then could buy it in a store too.

Aka, the hype died down since they made tons of it and it is still available places.

Still available = no hype = hurt brand. Such BS. this is just a #cashgrab

I'll be interested to hear how the release goes. For a brief moment I thought it'd be interesting to check out, but I would rather spend my time elsewhere. The beer is good, but not that good. The festival they're having could get intriguing if they got some of their sister breweries' big beers to add to a tap list.

Agree on good, not great. A lot of breweries keep their "best" beer for brewery only release so I have no issues.

I bet you can find some older bottles here in NE Ohio...

They could have sent 10 pallets to Chicago and we would have ate it up.

Good, easier for me to not care about it.

Pretty much this. It’s like artificial scarcity to drive hype. I have a feeling this is going to be like some of the Odd Side releases where the leftovers go to distribute.

So they tell people they aren't distributing it so they'll pay $17 a bottle at the brewery with the hope that it leads to an extra couple thousand bottles getting sold at the brewery. When 50% of it is left over, we'll see it start popping up at $14 at Meijer. What a fucking joke.

I'd have a lot more respect if they said, "We're putting all of it up for sale at the brewery. Distribution isn't guaranteed."

I might change my tune, but right now I'm pretty disappointed.

This is funny to me. FB groups sending mules. They can have it all. I’m skipping the release and the beer. Too many better options out there.

Stopped into a D&W in Grand Rapids today that still had some on the shelf. Definitely still available around town.

Savor Growl in Columbus OH had about five cases of 2016 sitting on the floor on 11/13/17. Beermenus shows they still have it.

Where did you see that they are producing the same amount?

    Found this on DACBE:

“Perrin made the same amount of No Rules as last year, but it's limiting bottle sales to in-house to "protect the brand," according to spokeswoman Lindsey VanDenBoom. Last year, people who waited in line on release day were "kind of just frustrated" to see the beer later available in stores; in other years, people looking for Perrin in stores "weren't happy" with how tough it was to find in stores, she said. "

Not a fan of No Rules. I’ve only had a few Perrin beers and would consider none to be great and stopped seeking out their stuff a while ago. The comments from the brewery around this decision are baffling to me. Oh well, I wasn’t going to buy any either way. This thread will be fun to watch.

Think No Rules is great but if they made as much as last year and no distro it should be available for months if not most of the year at the brewery.

Fatigue has hit hard in GR. Just look at the fact that Founders still has tickets available for every single day ( including Saturday) of their KBS release. I will get a good laugh if people actually line up for this.
