What beer are you drinking now? #1936

Stopped at the local beer store on the way home and saw this. I tossed one can into a snow bank and cleaned the driveway. It's been a couple of years since I've seen this, it's as good as I remembered. Maybe I'll do something side by side with GI's barrel-aged Barleywine.

 

I said I wouldn't but I did it again!

Holy shit, this is spicy af! Possibly the hottest burn I've gotten from a "Mexican" stout...on the way down.

 

They've been distributing to Ohio forever.. at least for the last 10 years.. maybe they didn't throughout the entire state, but they've been on shelves in Northeast Ohio for as long as I can remember..

Our favorite, the wife and I, drinking game is watching X-Files. When he says Scully she drinks, when she says Mulder I drink. Never have I seen two people say each other's names so often in normal conversation.

 

I wish people would stop reviewing beers just on if they like it or not. This beer is criminally underscored. Ocelot, Sunnyside Dweller. Even with 2.5 months on it, a very good Pilsner. Thanks again @cjgiant . Prost!

Yet another low abv beer that I was hoping would be flavorful. Really can't find one under 5% that floats my boat.

 

Found two more bottles in the mix-a-six section awhile back, to add to the ones in my cellar. I am one of the few that like it, apparently. Wrote a quick review over in the cellard beer forum if anyone's interested.

So we had this brew last night, and didn't finish it, as it was surprisingly buttery for a Saison. Not bad, but not a good follower after the always exemplary Arthur. So today we made a beer cheese cornbread out of it, and the butteriness, as well as yeastiness, came thru quite potently still.
