Pfft that's when you explain to your SO it can also double as a wine glass.

It'll be hard though trying to balance the wine bottle for IG boss pour pics.

Young'nz, ugh that sounds like a rap name now.

One of these days I'll cross paths with you again, but hard to do so when you're asleep by like 4pm.

Also to bring it back kinda on topic, looks like black kisses is out for PP club, public sale to follow.

opened up a bottle of b1 just last weekend and it was still drinking amazing; wish I knew about the release since I would have saved it to do a side-by-side.

I opened b3 last weekend and it definitely lost a lot of the coffee. Was a little thin but still great. I do wish I hadn't waited so long to open it.

Hoo boy, I posted that in the completely wrong thread.

Thanks... beers I drank tonight. Carry on.

Well, it's not like the Monkish thread doesn't go off the rails all the time anyways.
What b3? Maybe some of us have bottles we need to crack...

Funny how Monkish had to dedicate an IG post solely for parking in the lot next door.

As someone said in the Cellarmaker thread yesterday, "beer nerds are dumb"...and from the IG comments, some are feeling waaaay too entitled too.

Interesting you mention this. My good friend Robert owns the business Total Corporate Solutions next to Monkish and is also a client of mine. His employees have been verbally abused on several occasions for asking people not to park in their lot and then just ignore the requests and walk right over the wall to Monkish, usually with some sort of vulgar response. He told me the litter and drug use are out of control when they line up, Monkish apparently has tried to negotiate some sort of arrangement with him, we didn't go into those details as it's not my business. He said that the crowds for the can releases bring out some of the rudest disrespectful people he has ever encountered. Funny thing is he has no idea I'm a big fan of their beers so I just bit my tongue and let him vent, but having seen it first hand I knew he wasn't exaggerating. On line sales would help reduce this type of behavior and it's only a matter of time until TPD starts to get involved to protect the local business owners. It only tales a few assholes to screw it up for those that abide by the rules, sadly the Monkish demographic for line-up's tends to lean to those who think rules don't apply to them.

    Cheers,

That would be great if some of these people were banned from the tasting room; time to learn some hard lessons...

Why hold the crowd accountable and not the company that has allowed said crowd/culture to cultivate?

It's both that are guilty. One feeds the other.

I was told last year that they were going to do this, however I don't do can lines so I don't know if they have actually enforced this, I'll tell you one thing, they need to pay closer attention to whats going on around their place of business.

Going out to Cali in two weeks. Would love to stop by the tap room and have a pint or two. Just curious will there be a long line on a Tuesday night (assuming no can release) or served quickly? Thanks, look forward to my first trip to Monkish.

Love the dude in the IG comments who told them they need to relocate to the Inland Empire.
