For it to be a little bit hotter than one dated 2012 A 22:58:26.

if you have patience set her down. Or else just give it a go and enjoy. Might be a little hotter as mentioned but still an experience.

Expect to be a much happier person if you stick it in your cellar and drink it in 2017.

I realize that sounds sarcastic, but it's not. WWS is not a very good beer fresh. It's so damn hot, and takes years to get the edge off. However, if you are patient, the payoff is incredible.

I had my first WWS last night. It was bottled in 09 and it was very hot. It warmed me up pretty good for the whole 2 hours it took me to drink it.

I am with everyone else here, let it sit for a few years. I just recently drank a 2009 and it was still too hot for my liking. I have one more that I will probably wait until 2014 or beyond.

Very boozy and not worth the price tag, let it sit for at least two...if you can what until 2017 it will be amazing.

While we are on the topic (not to thread jack) I have a 2008 that I am thinking of opening to celebrate moving into a new apartment. Good idea, or let it sit longer?

You should have bought 2, one to try now and one to store away somewhere for like 5 years. I have one from 09 that might be worth drinking now but Im still letting it cool off.

For the sake of conversation, I do not believe it is beneficial to overwhelm yourself with information before trying a beer. Preconceived notions will impact your experience more than you think. Taste the beer on your own, if you have everyone elses opinion running through your head you are more likely to spend the time looking for what they tasted rather that tasting what you pick up.

I had a fresh one all to myself a couple weeks ago...it was doable, but not nearly as good as the one from 2009 I had earlier this year. Yum.

The booze is there, but it's a bit chewy too. Nice...
