    New England IPA from Samuel Adams. The look and nose is there, taste is a bit far behind. For a mass produced beer this is money.Cheers.

    Attractive dark garnet color with gold highlights.

    Aroma of dark and caramel malts with a noticeable sweetness and a touch of spicy hops.

    Taste on entry is dark malt, sweet caramel malt, a bit of hop punch (as in the hit, not the drink) along with a roasty, chocolaty edge in the finish and aftertaste.

    Medium texture with balancing carbonation.

    Overall a very favorable impression of a dark lager that has what it needs all in about the right measure.
