The trick is to buy a 4-pack of Brouwerij West and a 4-pack of Modern Times then pretend they're both $15/4-pack.

Lol I like your logic, though even that seems pretty bad considering Mongo 6-pack of 16oz costs $14.

Agreed. I've had multiple 4-packs of Amalgamator for the past month and the 1/31 batch is definitely subpar - what I imagine Amalgamator lite might taste like. I really hope it's a one off batch variation issue as well.

But then you're stuck drinking the Mongo.

Not to be too picky, but Swamis is Pizza Port, not Port. Shows how bored I am, but love your picks! I'd also add pretty much any modern times release thats not a year round. (nothing wrong with their core brews, just speaking of their one off IPAs)

I just drank three super fresh cans of Chuuuuuuurch from KERN, and it so took me way, way back to the early days of JO. A great beer to check out, and the cans are super fresh (2/5) since they just got delivered to stone.

To piggy back on what has been previously mentioned in this thread, Modern Times has been consistently good. Had a bottle of Tavnor last night and enjoyed it quite a bit!

Mongo is great when fresh, but that’s like finding a unicorn.

Forgot about Kern’s Just Outstanding in cans. A good deal at $10-11 per 6pk. And still one of the original classic IPA’s (along with Pliny) back in the day. JO has been in my rotation since the beginning.

Or if you go to Brouwerij West the 4 packs are 16 bucks no tax

I would pay a couple extra dollars to save the two hour round trip to the brewery.

Depends. What do you consider a luxury ipa?

Yeah I’d pay the extra cash too if my drive was that far.

I drink alot of IPA's and I've recently greatly been enjoying a new Karl Strauss IPA called Boat Shoes. Its unfiltered west coast, and fantastic. I would say my ATF Strauss beer.

My local has this and has been telling its really good. For what its worth, I think fresh Aurora Hoppyalis is one of the best shelfies you can buy.

    Cheers,
