According to their social media, the lead brewer Joe is leaving. Anyone got the inside scoop on where he is headed?

Hopefully this move doesn't affect the beer.

Had a hard time deciding which beer I preferred between Orange Julian and Turok Juice... So I had to have 2 pours of each.... Still undecided lol

So I'm drinking Maple Bourbon Barrel Evil Spread now and...

It's tasty! And it's a lot more balanced than that booze bomb of regular. It's reflected in the ABV surprisingly. (BAES 15% vs ES 18%)

Booze can't help but be there but it's pretty "drinkable" for such high octane.

Nice will have to try it for sure
How about Less Than Zero? Curious as to what other examples of this Brut IPA style are "sweeping the Bay area"

Social Kitchen was the first brewery to brew that style then I believe Magnolia was the second with the Local/CM/whoever else collab coming third. Cans will be available at CBS Friday.

For SF Beer Week, the crews at Cellarmaker Brewing Company, Social Kitchen & Brewery, and Temescal Brewing have teamed up to create a collaboration beer that's truly occasion-worthy.

Three Cheers is a crystal-clear Extra Brut IPA with Simcoe, Loral, and Zeus hops, a dry finish, and a cheer-inducing 6.6% ABV. Designed for the most laudable of festivities, this Champagne of IPAs rivals even the finest of sparkling wines for its opulence, precision, and crushability.

It's also a toast to our brewers' roots, as Cellarmaker's Tim Sciascia, Social's Kim Sturdavant, and Temescal's Mike Makris all got their start at the legendary Marin Brewing Company. Raise your glass, because there's a fourth cheer in here for them.

On Friday 2/16, join us barside at City Beer Store as we unveil Three Cheers for the first time. We'll have the beer on draft and in cans to-go, along with a few special drafts from all three collaborating breweries. No tickets needed, just come by and enjoy the beer.

My coworker has my Three Cheers cans but he's off until Friday :slight_frown:

Anyway... back to Cellarmaker. Look what just dropped. @MakeCAHazyGreatAgain

We Use A More Expressive (Than Our House Ale Yeast) English Ale Yeast That Increases The Fruity Aroma We Already Derived From Mosaic, Citra, Simcoe And Motueka Hops. We Also Tone Down The Bitterness For A Sweeter, Smoother Brew.

Here it goes. It definitely is softer, a little bit sweeter, and no bitterness - so it's go that going for it. But I also feel the flavors don't explode like some of the better batches of OG. (That being said, the last OG batch when they canned it, I wasn't a fan of.) I'm not sure if I like it more than regular The Glow.

Also tried Less Than Zero, since Cellarmaker is on a Brut IPA kick. Many people say it's like a hoppy Pilsner. I'd have to agree. I think it's actually quite dangerously drinkable, considering it's almost 7% and feels like 5. It lacks the hoppy punch of an IPA, and unfortunately, NorCal is going through a chill. But on a summer day, this would completely rock.

Speaking of which, I finally got my 4-pack of Three Cheers from my co-worker, so I'm curious how that stacks up.

Finally had Bourbon Vanilla Latte Vastness of Space. I don't really detect much vanilla, but it's definitely got the bourbon notes in spades.

Any beer traders out there? I was in SF in October for a conference and liked Party Drank so much I went back 3 different nights. DM if interested in trading for some fresh hops from Bearded Iris in Nashville, as well as other fresh hops from Hoof Hearted and Burial (also have a few good Prairie stouts and and assortment from American Solera). Would love to get some Party Drank and Mo’Simcoe!

Anything worth taking a growler fill of this week? Gonna be in SF proper the next few days and staying only a 15 minute or so walk away. Been to Cellarmaker once before and it was amazing.
