my wedding day is here and i couldnt be excited
To begin the day im bypassing my normal cup of coffee and instead going with a bucket list beer..Abraxas with Coffee...cheers!!

 

The beers are going to taste better this weekend, a huge financial burden was lifted yesterday with my other house being sold. This beer is one of my favorite starters, one easy drinking 9%.

I must have been out of it yesterday as I thought it was Saturday being my kid was home from school . So I waited for the Villanova vs Xavier game to come on, only to realize that it’s on TODAY

So Beer run and then some work, plus a nap only to awake for what should be a great game .
Definitely some great NCAA B.B. on this weekend

Good morning BA, have a great Saturday! Not much going on today. Supposed to warm up through the weekend which should be nice.
Amazing IPA! Aromas and flavors of tangerine, peach, pear, apricot, pineapple, passion fruit, papaya, mango, melon, guava, berry, grapefruit, lemon/orange zest, and light pepper/pine hops; with balanced wheat, cracker, biscuit malts; and herbal, floral, grassy earthiness. Light pine, citrus peel, grassy, spicy bitterness on the finish. Medium carbonation/body; balanced creamy/bready/grainy malts and sticky hops in the mouthfeel. Slight resins, lightly increasing bitter dryness, no hop astringency. Very drinkable from the mellowly bitter finish. Perfectly balanced dank, juicy, and vibrant hop complexity; nice sized bready malt backbone, with no residual sweetness. Definitely NEIPA on style with this one. Love the hop bill. Galaxy, Citra, Simcoe, and Falconers Flight. An instant new favorite. Finishing off my 2nd 4 pack. Hope this is year round now. Will keep on buying it.


Excellent English winter warmer! Big flavors of raisin, plum, fig, cherry, pear, apple, caramel, brown sugar, molasses, toasted biscuit, and light nutty/chocolate/roast maltiness; with moderate herbal, floral, pepper, piney hop notes; with a bit of yeasty earthiness. Moderate pine/spicy bitterness; with a very smooth finish with balanced bready creaminess and hop stickiness in the mouthfeel. Lightly increasing lingering bitter dryness, no hop astringency. Just all around great complexity and balance of yeast, malt, and hop flavors. Glad I grabbed a 6 pack. This ages amazingly too. English strong ales are underrated. I will seek out another pack for sure.


First time ever having a fresh Bigfoot I believe. This is still fantastic! Flavors of big grapefruit, tangerine, apricot, raisin, plum, cherry, citrus peel/rind, pepper, and pine hops; with balanced caramel, brown sugar, toffee, toasted biscuit malts; and herbal, floral, grassy hop earthiness. Large sized pine, citrus rind, herbal, grassy, peppery bitterness on the finish. Medium-full bodied; balanced bready creaminess and sticky/resinous hops in the mouthfeel. Quickly increasing resin dryness, touch of hop astringency, smooth sipper. This is one of the most aggressive American Barleywines out there, but I always love it. Classic Chinook, Centennial, Cascade resinous hop profile with balancing malts. Definitely a lot more juicy citrus on the hops as fresh, than the aged ones I have been having. Love it either way honestly.


This is mind blowing stuff! Glad we got more in distro last week. Aromas and flavors of huge milk/dark chocolate, cocoa, coffee, caramel, brown sugar, toasted coconut, vanilla, toffee, rum, whiskey, oak, fudge, brownie batter, and dark/brown bread; with light notes of smoke, licorice, butterscotch, and dark fruit. Very mild roast bitterness and bourbon/rum/oak tannin spiciness on the finish. Light-medium carbonation and very full body; with a very creamy, silky, velvety, and rich mouthfeel that is absolutely perfect. Minimal chalky roast, oak tannins or dryness. Mildly increasing warmth of 11.4%, zero barrel booze. Best Baptist variant ever made so far, top 5 beer of 2017. The balance between the coffee stout, bourbon/rum barrels, and coconut/cocoa nib notes is just completely perfect. Not overly huge on coffee, but nice pleasant fruitiness from it. Will definitely grab more for the cellar this week.

Was hoping for a spectacular lakeside sunrise but it is pretty cloudy today, but still beautiful in its own muted way

Decided to crack one of these bad boys, to have with my breakfast....may have to open up one of the 2 CBS's I have left in the cellar later...
