We would ask what it was that you couldn't find, and either 1. show you where said item is located if we carry it, or 2. get that item in so it will be on the shelf for your next visit.

Adults are more offensive and vile than children. At least the kids aren't aware of the others in a brewery. Smashed adults are the opposite, they're so aware that they want to be nice and loud so everyone can hear about their lives.

I grew up in "pop" land, have lived in "soda" world, but never made it to "coke" land. After 30 years of calling it pop, I converted to soda. Now I'm just confused most of the time.

BTW, I hate abbreviations for all but the most common beers.

Oh, and Ten FIDY is terrible. So is BA Ten FIDY. Well, it's actually probably not terrible, but I don't like it at all.

There is definitely a sect of people who dismiss TH entirely b.c of the milkshake/additive-heavy beers. Some people see things like Apple Pie Milkshake IPA and let that completely overshadow the more straightforward beers that they knock out of the park. I can't say I 100% blame them, but I just pass over the head scratcher brews for the most part and get the stand-bys. I have no problem with the experimentation, I just meant if they had a regular rotation of 20ish beers like Trillium does, that rotation would be just as good and better received.

I'm certainly OK with judging each individual beer on its own merit, but you do realize that there are people out there who want to classify everything and that there are also people, like us, who will judge the perceived accuracy of those people's efforts to classify things, right?

Toppling goliath is as over rated as led zepplin.

Led Zeppelin are over-rated as songwriters, but in terms of sheer playing ability they're tops. Y'all trippin.

They serve New England style IPAs at breakfast now?

I'd be very happy to see about 85% of the IPAs that are on offer now hogging up shelf space dumped in favor for a wider selection of other styles. I know it's not going to happen any time soon, but it's what I'd choose if I had one wish granted by the beer genie.

I've never tasted sweating feet, but if they taste pilsner then maybe I'll give them a shot.

My controversial opinions... KBS is a bad barrel aged stout. Anyone who doesn't like SNPA has something wrong with their taste buds. The current obsession with IPAs is completely stupid and bad for beer in general.

I'm sure part of your morning breakfast will consist of a Milky Way bar, or beer that tastes like one. Have fun!

I read those 'Top 100' lists of individual styles of beer. The GABF's, Paste.. etc etc. There are a good bit of them in the IPA department, that are one-offs, or only available to a tiny part of the country. Worse yet, is a lot of those 'never attainable' beers are finishing at the top of said lists. How about a list of beers, that are available to at least half the country, or major part of it any way. Give us a "Something We All Can Taste" list. FSS

If those lists appear anywhere, please point them out!

Because brewers are providing a product that consumers are just enjoying too damn much for their own good? Or because they should be made to drink less popular styles with thinner profit margins but which are, like, culturally significant or something but which don't keep the lights turned on or pay the mortgage?

Not totally clear on the rationale here.

Beer Advocate really needs an off topic section for beer fueled general discussions. It could be pretty entertaining.

Then it wouldn't be off topic, would it?

No reason to have a beermosa when you can just have a normal beer and leave the mosa for some other time.

I agree, and I think the whole IPA dominance thing is overblown. There are definitely a lot of high caliber breweries focusing primarily on IPAs, but if you go to a good beer store you can get amazing beers of basically any style depending on what your distribution is. I don't have any problem getting quads, stouts, wild ales, etc. at any of my go-to stores. I just happen to like IPAs the most lately.

I started with, and pretty much worshipped, European beers like Weihenstephaner Hefe and Rochefort 8, but now 75% of what I drink are IPAs. The refreshing/fruity/soft brand of IPA just does it for me. Doesn't mean I won't (or can't) also pick up a porter.
