Wild Barrel Brewing - Inner Circle

No info yet, but supposedly more information is “coming soon” based on a FB post.

 

He said there would be a welcome email with details coming out in a couple weeks but that was 6 weeks ago. Surely there's beer in barrels by now so I wish he would let the "inner circle" in on what's in the works. There's an IPA coming out soon so we should be hearing about that. Hopefully shipping will be available, I really want to try a beer from these guys.

 

FWIW, I really liked their SD Vice beers, a lot of great flavor, and their hipster stouts are solid as well.

They’ve had one IPA release already last month, which you should’ve gotten an email about discussing online sales and the ability to ship IIRC. I don’t have the email anymore. If you didn’t receive it, email them and make sure you’re on their list.

Nope... it’s the risk you take jumping in early with a new brewery. Kinda bummed there hasn’t even been a peep.

 

You'd think they would be super excited about letting us know what's in the barrels and what's in the works, we're some of their best customers right out of the gate. The fact that there's zero communication makes me think things aren't working out as planned. They did post a pic of some freshly filled bourbon barrels though so maybe we'll have a stout ready by fall.

 

When I rolled up to the first can release, the staff told me barrels had only started being filled sometime in January. Going to be a mix of stouts and sours so I think we are in it for the long haul, most stuff probably won't be out until the end of the year. Hopefully an email comes soon, they said the next can release is early March.

 

This brewery sounds like a total shitshow of a brewery. Even hangar 24's club was ran better than this it seems. They should pay people to join it.

 

They're a new brewery just starting up so when I joined in September I knew going in that I wouldn't see a barrel aged beer from them until at least this summer so that's not an issue, I'm sure there's beer aging in barrels. The only thing that worries me is the total lack of communication after he's twice stated there would be details coming in a welcome email at a certain time and then nothing came. Kinda weird. Hopefully this IPA can release coming up will have shipping available so everyone will finally be able to try a beer from them.

3 variants of Imperial Stout aging in very wet bourbon barrels will be bottled soon, brandy barrels are ready to be filled now then rum and tequila barrels coming after that. Sours will hopefully be ready in late fall early winter. Good things are happening!

 

Good to hear! Thank you. I did see an Inner Circle flyer in the tasting room last week ... thinking it might be time to join if not full.

 

Went here yesterday for the first time and it was probably the second worst brewery I've been to.
The sours were just sweet and just tasted like puree. The GF didn't even finish her half pour. The breakfast stout tasted nothing but a sugar bomb with artificial chocolate syrup. Couldn't finish my 4oz pour.
The hazy IPA's were ok, nothing worth taking home.

 

Aww, I hate to see places I like get bad reviews. I have enjoyed the majority of the beers they have done.
