hey people im curious on what your opinion is on left hand milk stout. ive had all 3 of these in the last 2 weeks but its hard to choose which is the best option but i think it comes down to the nitro cans vs the non nitro bottle since the nitro can is pro bably better than the bottle but i could be wrong

does nitro really make it better? if it worth paying extra for the nitro? since 4 pack nitro cans is like 9.99 plus tax for 4 11oz cans and the noral non nitro bottles are like 13$ total including tax for a 6 pack

“does nitro really make it better?” That is all a matter of personal preference. The nitro will create a smoother mouthfeel but IMO that is at the expense of diminishing some flavor aspects. I enjoy both the nitro version since for this beer I think the smooth mouthfeel is a plus but I also enjoy the regular version since I enjoy the more expressive flavor profile of that version.

I personally do not view this as an either/or choice since I enjoy drinking both versions and appreciate what the differing carbonation aspects bring to the table.

    Cheers!

I've had the nitro bottle and the non-nitro in bottle. Non-nitro tasted better. That was almost 2 years ago. I might have to revisit, as my tastes and knowledge has changed.

I really wasn't a fan of nitro until 8 month's ago, I had a nitro stout on tap in PA, that was delicious.

Nitro beers can come across flat after that pour, while the regular stout retains carbonation after it has been poured. I enjoy both.

Nitro is better, IMHO. It lends a creamy, rich character to the beer. You hard pour it, trying to form a head. It will bead up very nice. The bottle does NOT travel well, IMHO. When I pick it up on the west coast it is useless, when I have had it in Atlanta it is a mixed bag. It is terrific on tap and I keep hoping to find that same experience at home. Had our first can of it tonight, in San Diego, and thought it was excellent. FWIW, I do not look at this beer as a premium stout. If you are a Imperial Stout fan, this is not gonna do it for you. It is a low alcohol stout, but has a nice smooth character to it.

I'm not a fan of nitro. I prefer the original Milk Stout.

I miss this beer used to be all over san diego in bars and every shelf and now I see it here and there but it's usually old

nitro can vs nitro bottle. nitro can wins.

nitro bottle vs normal bottle. depends on the price. I more inclined to drink nitro from draft.

IMO, nitro positively affects the texture and minimally affects the taste. After it sits for a while, the stout simply becomes a normal stout.
Texture and the sight of the cascade brings positive appreciation of the beer.
