Week before is Tampa Bay beer week.....which means it would be slow. I support this

My experience with JWB bottle releases is that most people don't stick around to drink in the taproom after they get their bottles. So, it really makes no business sense to do it a week before when most folks will be in Tampa, or to do it a week after and having the beer either sitting in tanks for longer or bottles just sitting around taking up space.

hands down, wakefest was the best beer fest I've ever been too. lots of amazing beers (can't tell how many times I made the cantillon line) and plenty of amazing moments (can't get over the dude who was arrested with his dick out trying to piss thru the chain link fence onto the street :joy:)

Well that was fun. Thanks Miami.

Both bakes and Antiques were stupid good but Maple Rye BP was best beer in that place imo.

Festival was run very Well. Not crowded. Few things I’d change but nothing major. Will attempt it again next year.

I bet it's more shade and more water and a faster GA line processing :-) but yeah it was a fantastic festival...Rye Poppa/Bake/BA Boutit/Voodoo Grande Papi best in show...

Unbelievable beer event! World class beers flowing for hours, awesome music blasting, great people, delicious food in the VIP tent, and the weather turned out great! No major complaints other than TP running out in the bathrooms and not knowing the time the raffle was gonna get started (not sure of that info was available ahead of time or not).

Of the GA beers, I gotta say highlights were Deal with the Devil, Buffalo Trace Black Magick, IBS, and GNVP for the stouts...and that's with Assassin around haha. Aardwolf Brewing brought the most memorable underdog with MechaRoboWhale. Cantillion Vig pours were unbelievable as well.

And it goes without saying that Bake Kujira, I Let My Tape Rock (Rye Maple Big Poppa), Antique Coco, and Antique Blue were just ridiculous.

It was a nice surprise to see some breweries bringing kegs of stuff not listed on the tap list. Made it really exciting to walk past and lose your mind for a second lol. Random Saison Bernice keg in VIP was a nice touch.

Will definitly try to do next year!

Nothing crazy. More information, got lucky someone told me to line up for purple bake. Also lucky I had an empty water bottle in my bag to refill, didn't know the only water source was giant community water buckets. Raffle info etc.

Actually i was VIP, thanks tho.

The Miami Berliner from Equilibrium was awesome. I think Assassin is better this year too. Both Antiques were great. Troll/hater are just so unique , need that stuff in cans.

Since the info is so scattered, for those who weren't at Wakefest, the raffled bottles included the following:

Bake Kujira - Maple Rum Barrel Big Poppa x12
Bake Kujira Cuvee - 4 Barrel Big Poppa Variant Blend x2 (Magnums)
Antique Coco - Imperial Stout with Young Coconut, Fresh Coconut, and Toasted Chamorro Coconut Candy aged in Old Weller Antique 107 Barrels (Single Barrel collab w/ Three Chiefs Brewing Co.) x12
Antique Blue - Imperial Stout with Royce Chocolate, Blue Bottle Coffee, and Vanilla Beans aged in Old Weller Antique 107 Barrels (Single Barrel collab w/ Three Chiefs Brewing Co.) x12
She Neva Seen: Purple Label - Cognac and Apple Brandy Double Barrel Aged Imperial Stout with Macadamia Nuts, Cocoa Nibs, Vanilla, Coconut, and St. Helena Coffee (Collab with Horus Aged Ales) x 12
She Neva Seen: Pink Label - Cognac and Apple Brandy Double Barrel Aged Imperial Stout with Macadamia Nuts, Cocoa Nibs, Vanilla, Coconut, and La Esmeralda Gesha Coffee (Collab with Horus Aged Ales) x12

Wow, that took longer than expected. If I am missing anything or if my numbers are off, please let me know!

    Cheers!

Nope, you got em correct. One thing I would change is the raffles — have someone that doesn’t pretend to be an MC. It took them entirely too long to get through that. We were ready to roll but it kept dragging and dragging — I guess it also didn’t help that people were actually fighting over winning tickets
