We're probably on the same page, but just to be safe, I was jokingly referencing your earlier post in the thread. I think it was about 56 pages back.

    Re: kids/babies in breweries

I was at a brewery the other night, it wasn't late, probably 7pm, but it wasn't mid-day either. I was walking to the bar and felt something hit my leg. I had plowed over a little toddler who looked like he had a full two days of walking experience. I have three (grown) kids myself, obviously I felt bad, so I bent over to pick him up, make sure he's ok. And he was fine, bounced back up and kept stumbling around. But now the parent comes over and basically scolds me in front of everyone to watch where I'm going. I took the high road, and apologized, but seriously?? Why don't you watch your fucking kid?! The place was crowded too, and everywhere you looked there were little kids, babies really, toddling around with pacifiers in their mouths. When my kids were that age, and we wanted to go out drinking, we got a baby sitter. Do the same, people, it's actually really nice to have some alone time with your spouse to boot. Gee, there's an idea.

When I type the word draft, I prefer the British "draught". It makes me feel more refined, as if I'm a bon vivant of craft beer.

Sober, I would have done this, as well. Couple beers in, though, and . . .

Both are much better than "pour". Even TreeHouse stopped using that word.

Is it controversial to think that this super fresh Bigfoot I'm drinking is better than any aged version I've ever had?

You're a good man - Sober or not I would have said something snarky ... and I've got a 3.5 and 1.5 year old of my own.

What might be controversial, to my wife, is that I'm supposed to get a lot of shit done at home today while she's with my daughters at a college visit and my productivity is going downhill fast.

That just sounds like a dumpster parent. I have a 2 year old and I wouldn't imagine letting her truck around, let alone have the nerve to talk down to someone if my kid was causing problems

And that is the single most uncontroversial thing posted in this thread.

The original Red Oak Brewery was at Guilford College, a mile from my house. When my kids were about 9 and 12 I would take them to lunch, sit in a booth, have a beer or two and have a nice lunch. They loved it and always wanted to go. We made it a ritual through time to visit when it snowed. These are great memories. I would never have taken very little kids. My kids are going on 40 and still tell me how much they loved those snow days.

Same here. All this chat isn’t kid vs no kid. It’s being a considerate normal person vs not.

The same type of people who cause issues when they bring their kids or dogs somewhere are probably just as likely to do the same without any responsibilities in tow.
