I have not had the stout. What's it like?

 

It's dark and sweet.

But seriously:

Slightly higher gravity than a typical English Stout, but lower strength than the Imperial / American Stout which all the kid love so much these days. It's more akin to an Export Stout, being very drinkable and very well balanced,

If I might have the temerity to compare it to an old favorite, I'd name Cooper's.

Blackstack’s new double IPA called LOUD PACK came out in their taproom today and is now rated higher than Todd on Untapped . Yes you heard that right...I got to try it and it’s tropical, juicy , hazy and definitely hoppy .

I’m more excited about that Export Stout though that’s more my speed ! Hope they 16oz can that one .

 

Can confirm, Loud Pack is excellent. Hoppy, hazy, and just the right amount of bitterness.

 

Loud Pack is very good. Hope it becomes a regular part of their lineup.

 

That confirms it. Black Stack is the new hot shot power broker in town. Hooey and Surly have slide to near drain pours. Summit is not playing or in the game. But Summit is hanging on with there "Save the Family Farm" (Dakota Soul) Pilsner.

 

I suspect Barrel Theory, Wild Mind, Modist, Forager, and a few others would take ire with this statement. But yeah, Blackstack can make a great IPA.

 

If you truely feel this way I feel sorry for your wreaked palate. It must be hard to find beer to satisfy it all the time.

 

LOL I'm joking more than anything. I have never been to Black Stack taproom or had any of there beer. But I will have to checkout there tap room soon. So why is it Wild Mind, Modist and Forager get so little mention on this forum if there beer is so Good? Barrel Theory seems to get plenty of mention, some good, some bad.

 

If you are looking for objectivity and 'fairness' on these forums, I think you might be disappointed...

 

Likely because Wild Mind, Modist & Forager don't compensate people to make glowing posts on BA.

 

I've got a twenty dollar bill in my pocket that says I can do a simple forum search and find results which are commensurate to what you happen to be insinuating.

oh so I see, We not only have fanboy bias. We have corruption as well. LOL if you go back and look at things posted in the past plus reviews also. You will find Brewery owners/ Brewery employees posting undercover

 

I'll chime in on this. Barrel Theory isn't paying people to post glowing reviews of our beer.

Barrel Theory Fanboi here, can confirm, no monies. Although, Brett did stare gently into my eyes as he handed me a beer once, so that was pretty neat

Unfortunately blackstack didn't pay me to post about loud pack. But I have a feeling we know who splinter might be referring to...
I do think loud pack is on par with BT's ipas. And that's coming from someone that visits BT Nearly weekly.

Also that blackstack managed to can this beer and distribute it should earn them props as well because I'm sure we've all seen how hard that can be (hooey). Although they haven't proven they can do this consistently.
