The complimentary glassware with every beer purchase certainly seems like a bribe to me. My free Barrel Theory glasses are starting to overwhelm all of the shelving in my house.

I'll take this opportunity to note that while @KiddVideo and I visit regularly, neither of us are employed with BlackStack Brewing.

Moreover, I know the family, the brewer, and their staff well enough by now that I'd have heard whether pay-per-review was happening, and it simply is not. Neither BlackStack employees, nor regular customers are paid to "shill" their beer on this or any other forum (c.f.: Minnesota Beer subreddit, Ratebeer, Untappd, "Beer People" on Facebook).

I can understand those who takes issue with supporters of a brewery making supportive remarks about same brewery on a thread specifically topical to that brewery, but the insinuation that there is graft occurring is a specious one in this instance, and the the onus is on the accuser to prove such, rather than the accused.

Worth mentioning that there have been numerous incidences in the history of this site (including at the local level) of business owners using the forums to boost ratings of their own brewery, bar, or Taproom, but that's not the case here, either.
Thank you for pointing that out. Although to be honest, I could always use the extra cash.

Wait, weren't these accusations purely sarcasm?

It’s difficult to know for certain. The vagaries of the internet, which is so vast, and the depths of the sarcasm and snark seem fathomless.

If I could interject a comment about the beer.
Can three of a 4pk of Loud Pack consumed tonight.
First two were consumed within 24 hrs of canning, and have to say that a week+ of fridge time..

It was a hoppy pale ale brewed with Spelt, in fact. It was part of a series of experimental brews which helped them dial-in and develop their Local 7XX series.

I really enjoyed it at the time -- Maybe it will see a comeback? Really enjoying the "Inc."

Interested to crack a On One, picked up a 4 pack at princetons today and they said they sampled a can and it was surprisingly bitter for a Black Stack IPA.

It does have some residual bitterness to it, but it is damn good overall!

Just had a can from the four pack of Local 755 from BlackStack. Really good beer. Finished the can and I burped and tasted orange juice. I am thinking they use orange juice in this beer? Anybody else?

For me that bitterness faded as the beer warmed. Congrats on one year!

They don’t use orange juice in the beer.
