My personal opinion is that west coast style IPAs keep better than others, and are usually fine within a few months of packaging. Hope it's great!

I have made the mistake of buying too much RR (pliny and blind pig) that I end up not getting around to it fresh. In my opinion Blind Pig starts to lose its taste after 30 days. If you send me a message the next time I am at Russian River (most likely Memorial Day) I can send you a fresh bottle. Not looking for a trade just like to share Russian River beers as I am originally from the area.

A couple months old and not kept refrigerated, the beer will not taste as the brewer intended.

If you've never had it before, drink it. Forget the rules.

    Yeah, drink it.

Never had Blind Pig in a bottle, but I've had plenty a Pliny the Elder bottle and I don't like it after about 10 days.

Maybe I'm just not that picky, but i think it's solid for about 90 days, assuming it hasn't had any crazy swings in temperature.

Great beer. Never seen a bottle but on tap it's very good. I do like Pliny more but won't refuse a Blind Pig.

Chill it and drink it. I'm sure it's still ok. Worst case it's not and you move on.

Why do these post always pop up? Great, you have X beer but it's old, open, growler, chilled warm and chilled again etc. just drink them and report back. I never saw a post " I got a bottle of Pliny 36 days old and I tossed it out".

    Enjoy

Pliny the Younger > Blind Pig >> Pliny the Elder

Wait, I think maybe this belongs in the "Unpopular beer opinions" thread.

Either way, just drink it. It should still be more or less good to go, especially if it has been kept cold.
