Package went out today. I was going to try to do a tracking number hint, but it's too much work. Guess you'll just have to be surprised when it actually arrives.

 

I promise to try! As icy as my driveway and sidewalk are, I can almost guarantee that the shipping driver will be surprised at least!

 

Package had landed! My first time receiving beer in the mail(from a member, as opposed to an online store). Getting home from work and seeing that package was better than any Christmas! The downside was that I “forgot” to tell my wife that a beer package was forthcoming. Oh well.

Grizz’s packaging was much better than mine. He did the box within a box method, with each can/bottle individually placed in bubble wrap, plus electrical tape on the bottle caps. Even with those precautions, the inner box was wet. No worries though, I now know it was simply a creative way to stay within the strict oz limits. If everything arrived intact, it would have been 148oz. Grizz knew that his packing would lose 4oz in one can, thereby adhering to the 144oz limit!


The good people coffee oatmeal stout had a small leak, so I poured it in a glass. The fact that I had already poured a beer for the unboxing didn’t deter me one bit!


The best part is that the 1st beer was rating #2,000! (Sorry, I don’t review)

I had such a positive experience with my first beer it forward. I look forward to joining future BIFs, but more importantly I’m going to try to establish regular local for local trading partners based on this!

Glad they're all new to you, and the the stout was still salvageable. Even more glad to hear how positive your first trading experience was, and to have the opportunity to be apart of it! Be warned the snake handler has a well hidden double digit abv. Cheers!

Speciation (what I'm probably most excited for): Incipient w/ Sweet Cherries, DDH Incipient, Cross Fertilization, and Hopeful Monster

All new ticks for me! Actually threw one in the freezer, and just started drinking it....

Boss Tweed is a SUPER Juicy brew, with tons of hops and a level of drinkability I didn't think possible in an IPA...a truly hazy, juicy NEIPA

I was most excited to send you the speciation too, given your preferences, but thought I would share some MI hops and BBA stouts as well. I'm fairly obsessed with Speciation right now! I stalked you a bit on Untappd and saw that you've had some world class sours... really interested to hear what you think of these.

hehe thanks for the stalking especially post my recent Belgium trip I've had some fun w sours that's forsure. I was drinking lambics from the 80s, Cantillons from the early 2000s, And all other levels of craziness. Still can't rly believe it. And I brought back TONS to age
I'll definitely let you know when I try em! The hopped ones I'll probably get to soon, and I may do a side by side with some other cherry sours. But I'll definitely keep you in the loop. Thanks again!
