What beer are you drinking now? #1950

A little bba scotch ale here ba. For the fuck of it or something,

 

Like so many across the country we're experiencing crazy weather. It was nearly 80 degrees today and on my 25 minute drive home from work the temperature dropped from 76 to 55. Thankfully, War Elephant is a constant - always delicious!

 

First multi-beer post. I'm in Arlington, VA for work and don't have time to hit Aslin tomorrow, so I went to a bar tonight instead. Tonight's beers happened to be roughly in ascending order in terms of enjoyment. I'm sure the buzz had nothing to do with it...

• Commonwealth Big Papi. DIPA. A somewhat standard but very enjoyable new school DIPA. 4.18/5
• Ocelot x The Veil Big Cat. DIPA. A notch or two better than Big Papi. Dank fruit. 4.32/5
• Boon Kriek Mariage Parfait (2013). Lambic. I've had plenty of American Wild Ales, but this is my first Lambic. I'll rate/review the second bottle that I took home with me, but this is very good. Roughly 4.5/5

Fridge purge continues before we fly to Manchester NH this Friday. Florida Sue, enjoying it and hope to try the original when in Wisconsin this May.

And in the garage to wash off the 1/4" of pollen starting to land everywhere....

Started with this one, a German sour from one of my favorite German Breweries. A tough one to drink solo (I'm not much of a sour fan anyways) so shared some with my wife who appreciates the style more than I do. (She wasn't into it either. )



And right now? Had to move on to a "palate scrubbah" from Captain Lawrence, has four weeks on it but tasting great! Redemption. ( @Greywulfken )
