    If I wanted to attack this I would use the sanitizer purge, crack the lid and add the hops. Then I would put the co2 on the liquid out side and keep the prv open with about 1-2psi let that go for about 5 minutes and hope for the best.

    I had one last month. Went through 2 whole co2 tanks and I finally took my entire system apart and replaced all lines, o-rings and poppets. Finally fixed it and I love kegging again.

    [IMG] Picked up a sack. Got a lot of pilsners and saisons in my spring brewing schedule.

    Can you believe they wanted to charge me 80 dollars for this. Only reason I bought it was I had a 20 percent off coupon for spending a couple hundred. With coupon it was 64. I think that's what my normal store charges on a normal day....

    From where? I have two homebrew stores and one charges 80 (LOL) and the other 60. I can get avangard for 45. It's cheaper online but not after shipping.

    @TheBeerery
    You must have the best homebrew store in the world or you take part in group buys. Either way I'm interested.

    I go right though bsg who is the sole importer of Weyermann and about 30 minutes away from me. Not only is it cheap. It’s fresh. My sacks are usually less than a few weeks in the bag.

    You must have to purchase a large amount to go straight through a distributor.

    Nope just 1-3 sacks per time usually.

    Well yeah, I would expect if you have access to the distributor direct you can get pricing like that. For most other people, we are stuck at the mercy of LHBS's and online vendors (which in turn, shipping kills it usually). MoreBeer is my go-to vendor for the best pricing shipped to my door. 2-Row base malt is less than $50 to my door, Pilsner is around $65 or so. This is cheaper than my LHBS down the street for me, even with shipping added in. MoreBeer is delivered next day, so it's speedy.

    On the subject of bulk grain: I know Midwest is probably not a popular online option anymore given their ownership, but they recently went to free shipping for everything, including grain sacks. Their normal price is higher than MoreBeer, but they are running 20% off right now, bringing it to about the same. With the free shipping, it’s a great deal. Well for those of us without a LHBS, it is.

    I can't get a sack of grain from morebeer to my moms house in PA for less than 60 dollars. How is it possible it goes to Ohio for cheaper. I mean she's in a pretty rural area but still. I'm just gonna start using Canadian superior pilsner for all my American beers. My homebrew store sells it for like 48 a bag and I've liked it so far for all my non German styles.

    @Prep8611 do they sell Canadian superior marris otter ?

    Prep8611 Savant (1,208) Aug 22, 2014 New Jersey

    Unfortunately no. For marris otter I'll just go with my normal Crisp, simpsons or Thomas fawcett and spend some more. I'm thinking for pales and ipas I can get close to that flavor profile with some Munich and c-10 but I prefer marris otter for stouts.

    Really? That is weird. I just plugged it all into Morebeer just now and shipping is $11.43 for a 50-lb bag of Briess 2-Row, grand total of $49.42 shipped.

    $68.45 shipped for a 55lb bag of Weyermann Pils for reference.

    It comes via Fedex Home Delivery. Maybe that is why... Where your mom lives perhaps they have to use Fedex Ground or UPS?
