At least we have 2 weeks, before it closes.

Hopefully I can swing by Sunday to try it.

I had a taster last night. I didn't get much nuttiness on the nose, and just a hint more sweetness on the palate, so I think the macadamia nuts were used with a defter touch than I anticipated. White Chocolate for me is more about the mouthfeel and the vanilla/chocolate interplay so that's what I picked up on most.

As I had a DD along with me I ended up having a pretty strong flight plus a couple extra tasters. I have to say I think the recent bourbon barrel-aged beers have been better out of the gate than those released the past couple years. I don't find the fresh BBA beers start as "hot" as they used to.

Also, I got a little side pour of Geburtstagskranz. The cherries have started to fade so - for me - it's tasting really, really good right now. I recommend cracking a bottle if you've been sitting on any.

Lastly, I'll echo the shout out to the Society Pickup Center last night. I strolled in totally blanking who I was proxying for and what I was supposed to pick up for them, and they weren't phased by my dumbness. I get the feeling they know of the recent criticism, because a simple, "Hey how's it going today?" lead to two comments about how much they do on a daily basis in addition to helping people at the desk. Not trying to open a can of worms or anything, just grateful they figured shit out for me last night.

That's a fair point @swanfungus since Macadamia nuts are a pretty delicate flavor compared to some other nut varieties.

Chunk was an easy max at 4. I’m down to 5 WCs of different years plus 3 w/Cs so just added 3 2018 regs and the Chunks. Figured they couldn’t be bad and same price as regular.

Finally tried OTWB on Sunday (OSWB?). Pretty good and worth some bottles—might have approached maxing but with the WCs and what’s on the horizon have to pace things. Almond is prominent but not overwhelming—got a lot more from Marzi. A touch more maple and cinnamon for me would be good, but blended pretty well.

See, I tried Brunch on Sunday and decided it wasn't worth buying any bottles. The body was thinner than I hoped and it seemed too carbonated. The flavors were okay but definitely not worth $30 in my opinion. The best beer we tried was the White Chocolate Warmer.

Another thing...I was so excited for SitR with coconuts and pineapple and it was such a letdown. It was nothing like what was on tap a few years ago.

It was aged in the French Oak puncheons instead of bourbon barrels.

I had noticed this myself. Poured it into the '17 reserve glass and it was boiling for a good 15 minutes. Never seen a stout do at before.

This looks great. I found myself reading the fine print a couple of times to make sure I didn't miss any references to orange zest, cinnamon or other spice/cocktail ingredient. It's almost too good to be true. I've got high hopes for this one.

When coconut stouts are made with a TON of coconut flavor, I am a huge fan... The Patsy, Death By Coconut and Maui Brewing's versions are all right up my alley. If this new one really piles on the mounds, I will be quite happy. Looking forward to it!

3 year Solera blend coming out from Terreux for their 3rd anniversary
Happy 3rd Anniversary to Bruery Terreux. To celebrate their 3rd year, they will be releasing Annuel. This blended sour ale is aged in oak and Bourbon barrels and packaged in 750ml bottles. Look for Annuel to hit 11.6%-AbV
