Good on him. Doesn’t change him acting like a douche all week or his max profits ways (that are everything that’s wrong with craft beer).

I have no beef. I think it’s funny. Just as it was funny when he got escorted out of Wakefest.

I landed all the bottles from Wakefest besides the raffle bottles. I also got to drink all of those during the festival.

$5,000 revenue from a single group of pre-sale Wakefest bottles alone. My estimation would be a conservative $10,000+ per year in revenue from JWB secondary sales.

A Somali warlord occasionally allows an NGO aid shipment through to a village without his usual 'tax' so he can show everyone what a good guy he really is.

Fair enough, but I'm not gonna vilify someone for supplementing their income thru secondary beer sales when I've supplemented my income thru secondary comic and action figure sales. Especially when there are legit bullies and "cool guy" cliques in the sfl beer community, and I think those folks deserve the disdain more.

Secondary itself is interesting and here to stay -- as you said, welcome to collectibles. I hope breweries are able to take more advantage of how people ultimately value their products as a result (bottle clubs/vintage bottle sales/etc).

With that said, when secondary sales profit is the sole motive in an original purchase, that's where most consumers seem to draw the line. There are also boundless examples of manufacturers trying to prevent profiteering across a myriad of products, markets and price points.

Beer itself is better than it ever has been. As you've pointed out, the beer 'community' is not :slight_frown:

    Quick questions for you guys.

How often is Haterade on tap?
And do they fill crowlers of it?

Not often and haven't seen it.

They need to can Haterade like yesterday and make it a core beer. It would be an Fn cash cow. Perfect for Miami weather ...out on the boat ...out on the beach ...bbq etc etc. Sour red gatorade with booze. Goddamn.

Yeah apparently he was right there offering cash to raffle winners. Someone apparently bumped him by the steps and I guess whatever manner he retaliated in was noticed by cops and he got the boot.

From what I've noticed.... people seem to not care for him due his sole secondary motives and his flaunting as such.

In some fashion I feel that getting the extra mules just to max profit contributes to the "13 hour lines" for releases. (He ended up with 18 or so DB la nada) So that extra wait I'm not so happy about... obviously not the only reason but at least part.

Now this altercation puts him front and center for everyone..... Where it seemed before some maybe knew who he was and what he's about.... Now a whole bunch more people know exactly what he's about and who he is.

I don't know him personally. So can't comment there.

I am going to be in Ft. Lauderdale next weekend. Will not be able to drive down to Wakefields. Will I be able to find any in stores in FTL?

Maybe it just a bunch of golden tickets :flushed: ... if they don't post what they have will be tough justifying an early morning lineup and day off...

They had madness also. But no limits initially... So people walked away with all the real good stuff right away

Bottle prices were marked up from original retail for the last cellar sale, right? I wonder what the mark up would be on something like ILMTR
