When does Great Notion announce what crowlers they'll be serving for the day? Driving down from Spokane tomorrow morning and trying to plan whether to stop there first on my way into town or not.

I like how they asked people which limits were preferred on one of the biggest beer trading apps

Hot tip at PDX if you're looking for bottles to take with you... Timberline Lodge at the beginning of concourse E. Everything was fresh. Got a bottle of Breakside Kids These Haze. Also had 6 fresh pFriem bottles, & a decent selection of other local stuff, including a bunch of cans. Plus, Secret Aardvark. Check it out.

Very relevant to my interests, as I'll be away from home for a week next month, and would love to take some pFriem with me without checking a bag.

They said they but in small quantities so they're always rotating in fresh stuff. Music to my ears.

Slightly higher than not at the airport, for sure. The Kids These Haze was $8/22oz, which I think is $5-6 at other retail outlets. I honestly paid more attention to freshness dates, so I'm not sure what a lot of the other stuff was going for. I'll make sure to more thoroughly assess next time I'm at PDX.

I really wish the Port of Seattle would look at PDX's model for beer at an airport. It just puts SeaTac to shame.

I'll be at PDX next weekend, and would be happy to post some details.

BTW. It looks like Belmont Station may have completed the bier café renovation. The past couple of weeks, the website has shown 5 or 6 beers on tap. Today it's back up to 30 plus, with a huge Barley Brown tap take over.

PDX has a local ordinance that retail prices at the airport must be the same as "Street prices" in the area. I forget the exact wording, but I had an email exchange once with some from the Port of Portland about this, as I wanted to get as much info to a couple of my City Counsel folks, hoping to institute the same policies at BLI. PoB is much too entrenched though.

Maybe not the ideal place to ask, but wondering if any De Garde stuff ever makes its way into Portland? Thinking maybe not, but every couple months, Denver gets a drop of some Casey stuff, so I thought I'd give it a shot...

Yeah, it's pretty sporadic though. Recently some Hose and Deutsche Hose made it over, there might be some places where it sits for a while.

Portland sees small dG drops from time to time. Not sure what, if anything, might be available at the moment, but best places to check are Tin Bucket & Arch Bridge in Oregon City.

Was just at Tin Bucket on Sunday and can confirm they had a couple of different dG bottles for sale. I think they might have had an additional bottle of something that you could only consume on the premises (they typically have a list of 8 or 9 limited release beers that you can only consume on site).

Depending on your timing, you may luck out and arrive when they have something from dG on tap. They along with Arch Bridge, more than any place else, seem to have dG beers on tap from time to time.

Timberline Lodge at PDX: Definitely worth a stop if you're flying out of PDX and want to grab some last-minute brews. Small but good selection of bottles and single cans. Cascade bottles (old and new labeling) ran $25-$30. A bomber of Breakside IPA was $7.50. They also had Lunch Break but I didn't check the price. pFriem bottles were $5.50 for the IPA/Mosaic Pale/Citrus IPA/Pilsner, $8 for the Hoppy Belgian Pale, and $14 for the Flanders Red. Base Camp BA S'more Stout was also $14.

Single cans ran from $2.50 for Base Camp beers to $3 and $3.50 for Fort George Big Guns and City of Dreams.

Also: @guajolote was right: The beers are reliably fresh, at least for the pFriem and Breakside bottles I checked. Same goes for the Fort George cans which had readable canning dates.

Note: Timberline is actually at the start of D Concourse, not E. It's right on the other side of Gate D1.

So I've never been a fan of Modern Times. Not bad, but nothing I would go out of my way for or choose against other offerings. Having said that, I went to MT this weekend and it should be on the list. Did not have a bad beer, with the possible exception of their desert barleywine. (I've drank less sweet simple syrup.)

Also their entire food menu is vegan for those that care. As a non-vegan I thought it was good.
