If I got my shit together I could've probably gotten it lining up at like 10am or something. But I honestly don't need more 10% IPAs. I was putting together some mixed 4pks of recent releases to bring home to my Dad and like half of what I have is 9-10%.

From my own experience I look at “linelyfe” as tailgating. If you are going to a concert or a football game, you don’t get there hours early because you are afraid you will miss the concert/game; you get there hours early so you can hang with friends, drink a few beers, and have some fun. I know everyone wont agree and would rather spend their saturday mornings doing other things, and I know that is not everyone’s reasoning for waiting in line. Just throwing my 2 cents in.

No I agree. As much as all the shit talking about lining up that goes on, I know this is a big part of it.

Getting in line at 10am would have gotten you everything except the platinum teku. I wandered up at 10:45 and got everything except JFK and the teku with a 20min wait. JFK sold out as I turned onto centre. When I left at 11:30 there was literally no line and everything still available (except jfk and teku)

fact is: everyone is a lot more cordial when they can purchase great beer at their convenience.

In the next couple weeks we’ll likely see the 2 Hoof Collabs, a J Wake, and word on Centre Street is (pause) another Monkish Collab.

    Hold on to your butts!

Lga (picked up at 12:11pm with 2min wait ) is fantastic, citra + galaxy are dominant here. Not close to 4th any tho. Probably the Hoof Hearted collabs should be coming soon...

The Steal this Beer guys have gone into this, the whole linelyfe thing is basically an extension of going to the bar, spending time with like-minded people who share the same interests. It’s making sure you are drinking with ppl as crazy about beer as you are.

On line yesterday I overheard a guy talking in reverent tones about “bro, we got here at 3 am and put up a table and we’re slinging donuts and bagels, bottles flying, cops didn’t care bro” so yeah. People want to have those “war stories” to share about how dedicated they are to getting the beer.

That said, I would prefer just walking up to the counter and buying it without waiting in line, beer is the same whether you linelyfed it or not. To each his own.

And nowadays, I think peak linelyfe is approaching and you can either 1) get it with no line or 2) use tickets, an app, or other means to not have to sit there for hours if you really have that much demand.

For all the “OH hates their customers” they have started to move the needle that way. (Yes, they could do more *ahem case counts* - but its getting better).

While #linelife argument rages, the taproom is half full and I might sit here ordering 4oz pours of Miami Madness until the keg kicks. The tap list right now is outrageous.

yeah i figured we were do for a string of hyped collabs after some all OH releases. Thats cool though, let the beer trade/mule go crazy and i'll fill some mid-week growlers. i'm almost through my case of 4th anniversary, it was so fucking good but boy has my alcohol tolerance reached new heights. i get excited about pilsners now.

Looks like there is a line for Torst's Monkish tap takeover. Much smaller venue, and fewer Monkish beers tapped - glad I went to Other Half instead. I came down with a wicked cold yesterday anyway, so couldn't make it out.

Anyway, FT, 4th Anniversary; ISO, Matzah Ball Soup

Totally missed that J. Wakefield's Miami Madness was going to be available.Ugh. Assuming it's kicked hours ago....

hopefully I can find it at J.Wakefield itself in about a month when I'm down there.
