I've had both. I thought Weldworks was good but wasn't blown away. Fuzzy has Cory's classic funk and isn't quite as juicy as Weldworks. Fuzzy just has more complexity to me, it's also drier, which I prefer. .

Agree with above statement for about everything. I would add IMO that Weldworks is more fruit forward and less acidic..

SP Societe? Is that a thing? When did they have sign-ups for that?

No sign up... from what I heard they approached their biggest customers

I believe it was more along the lines of family/friends to keep it small and test the waters. I know there were quite a few people upset about it around here

Definitely friends and family because I know of people who have only ever bought one thing and got in.

I'm heading down to SP 2 weeks after the release. Do we think there are decent odds that Fuzzy is available for on-site consumption in the weeks after the release? Thanks for any tips as this is my first time visiting there (and Narrow Gauge)

This is a bit disappointing. Seems like a good way to alienate some of their top customers. I guess I'm not really that surprised though. There isn't really a good way to have an exclusive club without upsetting people.

I guess the friend of a friend that I heard the story from must be considered a "friend" then. I thought it was just because he was a loyal customer.

I would be disappointed only if it was based on actual $ spent, because jeebus do I spend a ton. End of the day though, Cory can do what he wants, I'm not going to judge him any differently.

Your best bet to judge this is go back through the tweets and see how long the last batch lasted. Not sure if it was 2 weeks or not. Also look at how long the latest batch of Fencecrow lasted, as it used 500 lbs. less of fruit.

I'd bet it will still be available, and if not I promise they'll have some other great bottles. Do consider hitting up 2nd Shift and heavy riff as they are pretty close to side project and well worth a visit

Most recent Fencerow was 4000 lbs of fruit compared to 2500 lbs of peaches for upcoming Fuzzy release.

"For the third release of Fencerow, we sourced 4000 lbs of Black Raspberries from Oregon and added them to a blend of 90% Missouri Wild Ale that had been aging in oak for more than 2 years and 10% Saison du Fermier."

"This blend has not only grown in size, but also has the most peaches per gallon of any release of Fuzzy, and that is a huge thanks to the help of a bunch of amazing friends that helped us pit more than 2,500 lbs of peaches! "

Was at SP Cellar today and a guy came and got a bottle of Fuzzy. It’s ready for those special club members.

yea, saw two different people walk out with Fuzzy while I was there, and what appeared to be a grey waxed bottle.

I'm wondering if the people with fuzzy bottles are the ones who helped pit peaches?
