Saw there was no thead for these guys yet. Heist Brewery in Charlotte recently got their production brewery up and running and have been doing can releases every weekend for the past 3 weeks. The IPAs I have been lucky enough to try from them have been fantastic.

Heist is releasing some top notch IPA's. The weekly can releases have been amazing. Looking forward to some stout releases.

Burred is the Word and Blurred Up were phenominal! Still have a few cans of each. So glad they are canning again. Are they planning to start distro or self distro with the batch sizes they are doing now?

Hey all. I'll be staying in downtown Charlotte this weekend and looking for Heist cans. Browsing through their social media posts it seems like they release cans fairly regularly in small quantities. I noticed over the weekend what they had was getting low so those likely won't be available Fri when I get into town. My question is what's the chances they release cans today or tomorrow? If they don't is it difficult to locate cans at shops around downtown (Salud, Pop the Top, TW, etc)?

    TIA!

Yep. Have them on my list if I can make it. Only have a 3 hours Fri afternoon and the sticking point with them is they don't open until 3pm. I have to be on the opposite side of town (Brookhill area) by 4pm. If I'm able to make it to Heist for lunch around 1/1:30 then a quick stop into Salud after I can probably swing RC too.

Not sure if you are dead set on cans but they also do crowler fills. Make sure you hit the upstairs at Salud they have been doing some great beers.

Fantastic to know! I'll definitely keep that in mind if cans are not available. Thank you!

Melon flavors with a nice dank quality. Our third can today is Native Flightless Bird, our collaboration with @CerebralBrewing. Named for the Kiwi, the native flightless bird of New Zealand, since we used only hops from New Zealand: Motueka in the whirlpool, then double dry hopped with Rakau and Kohatu. Peach, orange, and pineapple for a smooth, tropical experience. (Contains lactose.) Milkshake IPA, 7.4% ABV, $15.99/4-pack, limit one case (6x 4-packs) per person.

I hadn't been following the activity over the past year or so, but I personally think this was a great move for them. I visited heist earlier last year from Raleigh and I wasn't crazy about the (3) separate room+ setup at their current location. Seemed a jumbled restaurant/brewery experience--again, just my opinion.

Looking forward to consistently good things from them (selfishly meaning more distro for us in the triangle).
