Agreed. I believe the real reason they dont indicate case counts prior to the release or jaut say “plenty left” during updates is to increase foot traffic into the brewery. If they said they had “10 cases of x beer” left, most people who have more than a 15-30 min commute would probably not rush over to the brewery since the beer would most likely be gone by the time they got there. However, “plenty left” seems like you would have easily an hour or more to get to the brewery. I’ve left for OH when I saw “plenty left” in updates in the past only to find out that cans sold out 20-30 mins later.

Also, not releasing case counts prior to the release helps fuel hype, FOMO and the whole lining up culture. I’m sure if they said “we have 400 cases of x beer” that it would entice some people to stay home and just head over at 11. Thats not good for hype though.

Spot on, it’s 100% those 2 main reasons. Plus Maybe even that it’s also easier (less labor) for someone to do it

For what it’s worth, “plenty left” was what they told me for Astro travelin on a Tuesday and they still had it that following Saturday.

Well, that's the whole point isn't it? That "plenty" can just about mean anything from 100 allotments to 10...

I haven't been to OH in a long time and I'm afraid to even show up. I'm wondering, how long does it take for them to get through the initial line? Did the Monkish collab sell out quickly?
Do they adjust sale time or is it strictly 10AM start?

Me too. The only thing though is that if they and other breweries truly do not want lines, they will eventually switch to online sales like Bottle Logic and Monkish for their popular bottles. Or make a rule that if you are on line before 9 am you cannot get beer (I know this is hard to monitor though). This is what happened with sneakers for the most part. After people were sleeping outside for weeks and some were getting robbed or killed, most of the releases are now done online and sometimes even as a random drawing.

    PREDICTIONS:

    • All beers out last the line
    • Answer Collab > Hoof Collab > Monkish Collab
    • IG posts from Hazebois containing countless [Fire Emojis]

Hahah. You're probably right. The only thing I will change is Answer > Monkish > Hoof. My friend went to the tasting room yesterday and said the hoof was kind of undrinkable lol.

No one can truly predict cuz we dont have case counts. Usually they start sales at 9:45am but I think last Monkish one it was much earlier.

Thanks and yea I agree it's hard to gauge. But does anyone know if those collabs sold out only to those in line or has anyone popped in at the brewery and got cans?

I think they started selling aroud 830am for the monkish collabs if memory is correct and they handed wristbands out around 7? I got there around 1130 I think and got everything but LAX which I think had sold out like 20/30ish before I got there

Remember, LGA and LAX were limited to 3 and 2 four packs per person, respectively. This Saturday's release are all one full case max. Although, sounds like these may be larger batches, and coupled with the fact limits are subject to change, I wouldn't be too surprised if they outlast the line.

    OH hates their customers, duh!!!!!

Ok, snark aside, basically “we want the lines and hype and that’s it.” We all know this is true.

Just thinking a bit about the discrepancy between "plenty left" with OH stouts and "plenty left" with the hoppy stuff

In the era of the brewery-only release I suppose it makes sense to introduce the term:
