Curious if anyone has tried Oceanside's 11 and what the future looks like for these guys/this guy.

    Cheers!

Well it looks like he's quite popular and untappd scores are promising. Really wish he would have lowered the bottle limits considering Oceanside's Eleven had a fairly low bottle count. Hopefully it goes on tap somewhere in San Diego so I can at least try it.

My (conspiracy) theory is he allowed the high bottle count to allow people to rate them. The abnormal pappy barrel was only 1pp and I can imagine it took a while to get a substantial amount of reviews. Atleast with a 6pp allotment, people are more inclined to open them sooner and type in their reviews.

I cracked a bottle last night, and it's a fantastic beer. A lot of stuff going on even though there's no adjuncts. You can taste the love and effort Kyle put into it, very refined. The wax on the bottle though is incredibly thick. Getting through the wax on the neck took me probably a solid 15 minutes of scoring with my knife until I was able to get to the bottle cap, which was frustrating.

I saw that he's doing another bottle release at the end of March/early April. Glad to see he's getting the ball rolling possibly on having consistent solo releases instead of collabs. Just go lighter on the wax next time, LOL.

This. The grand scheme of allowing ppl to try one, save one, trade the rest and get his name/brand out there in the hyped beertrade scene so each release is guaranteed to create more demand. It's brilliant from a business standpoint.

I got the first batch of waxing, before his crock pot broke and he had to start using another one. Wax seems to be thin/just right. Maybe you got a later bottle and he was doing or dipping?

Oceanside’s Eleven keg at Rock & Brews underwhelmed. The Revival (Cognac) was far superior. Also really enjoyed The Whole Masumoto as well as the B.O.B. pour I had across the street at El Segundo Brewing.

Had their Moksa collab pastry stout, Methode Pastry, on tap a few days ago. Brewed with Jamaican Blue Mountain coffee, hazelnut, coconut, and vanilla. It was all I hoped it would be. Smelled amazing, tasted amazing, and made me sad that the keg kicked already. They are supposedly bottling and also barrel aging this brew, so hopefully Moksa will be selling it so I can get my hands on some more.

Horus dropped Osprey's Fresh Catch in Madison, WI this week. I can't find anything about it.

What in the fuck? Kyle hasn't even posted about this on his Instagram and I can't find any info on this. Seems very odd.

From a couple people i talked too, they said thr oceansides 11 was just ok. Adding 11 different breweries into it does seem like just hype.

I was considering pulling the trigger on some of the new Goshawk's Grasp... but at a base of 35 per, another couple bucks in BPT fees, and tax, it was almost $40 per bottle.

While I understand the cost of hazelnuts and some super coffee... I just can't pull the trigger on a non-BA stout for that cost that I've never tasted.

I fear the hype might be a bit aggressive on these beers.

That felt like a old CFH purchase. Credit card processing didn't work for me for a half hour then maybe they turned it on?

    Looking forward to trying these.

Are these bottles 375ml or 650? I was considering buying a couple but at $40 including fees I passed. If they are only 375ml I'll be so happy because that price is a joke.
