Periodically closing down brewery specific threads

The NE brewery threads are really active compared to here. There's release announcements almost daily for Trillium/Tree House. I'm not convinced of there being an advantage anyways. Searching an uber-thread seems easier to me. It's not like you can't follow what's currently going on. Conversations towards the end of the month always get interrupted when things reset.

 

No I have not. My comment was more of a general one. I have no idea what has been going on in that thread, I assume it has somehow gone sideways?

But I have witnessed MANY threads that were completely fine that provided helpful info and ongoing dialogue, just be locked out of the blue, with zero explanation.

 

I'm in the "let it be" camp. Not enough activity to warrant a yearly thread for any PNW brewery, let alone monthly, IMO. I think the biggest one is the Fremont thread, and that hasn't even hit 100 pages after 3.5 years.

I would like to see a place for both relevant, general information and for whimsical, chaotic otherness. I'd hate to lose the haiku in favor of user-friendliness. I agree that when threads go sideways (like any of the threads involving haziness) it sucks the fun out of the place, but I think some of the best things happen when the rabbit holes widens a little bit.

If that makes any sense. I've been drinking.

 

I'm down with rebooting threads when they get out of hand, or more importantly, completely off topic (i.e. Grape Lotion).
