So being a child of the 70s who grew up on Frank Frazetta fantasy novel and Iron Maiden album covers, I may be betraying my generation but I really can't stand that kind of stuff on beer labels. I'll take a nice simple graphic like Tree House or Trillium, or a geometric design like Other Half or Modern Times every day of the week.

    My personal favorite can design:

Simple, yet so striking. Its based off the 1893 World's Fair graphics.

Also surprised no one's mentioned Burial yet
Strangely, there are not many quality pics of their cans on the net that I can find, so here's what you get:

Brouwerij West our of San Pedro, California have some of the best looking can art in my opinion. Creative design, and makes good use of the metallic can (in the case of Falling Water’s can art). Aslin also has some neat can art, as well as Fieldwork.

Modern Times' Dinosaur World and Half Acre's Vallejo always make me smile and say "wow" when I see them posted in WBAYDN-

My beer wall has some of my favorites. Suprisingly (not surprisingly?), almost all have some relation to Cellarmaker

Beavertown is the king of beer cans that catch the eye. Whether you like them is up for debate (I for one love them) but they definitely catch the eye and are awesome pieces of art.

Cloudwater has some really pretty, simple designs though.

A lot of the Tree House standard beers are pretty boring, but the Curiosity and other limited releases get a lot of excellent labels.

I find them too busy. It might make me pick up the can, to see just what the hell it is, but after about the 10th time, I don't want to bother, & walk on by. & maybe it's a bit of The Clown Shoes Effect ?:wink: I might be associating an "I wish I had gotten THAT other one." reaction to busy can art? Daisy Cutter & (C.A.) Dry-Hopped Sour being the exceptions (for me) , as the designs allow the name to be noticeable.

I like Barrier's designs. Detailed , but the designs & the different textures let the name of the beer & what it is, been seen at a glance.

Also, Avery, & yeah, Foreign Objects, & SixPoint.

Honorable mention to Good Nature. Same design, with different colors, for every beer. What stands out is that rain, condensation, or melting snow adhere to some of the can, and not to other parts, the whole thing says "Drink me!". (Now if they could just put that lil' ol' date on the bottom, it would say it more often. )

100% agree wth Vallejo. Can not be beat. I wish the beer was as good as the can! I mean it's fine, but not one of their best. Not as good as Gone Away. If it's in rotation when I'm in Chicago, I will buy a 4pack just for the cans! Yes, sometimes I am an idiot...

What do you think of good nature? Im actually a student at the college right by the brewery and when I get back from my semester abroad I'll be old enough to drink at their taproom. What's your favorite stuff from them?

But my favorite cans are Two Roads, Neshaminy Creek, Stillwater and Sixpoint. All are very well designed and colorful.

I like the Rogue Dead Guy cans. I just dig flat black can labels, and the design is cool too. Beer isn't bad either. The black tab is a nice touch.
