Pee lines were the only bad lines. Not sure a festival can get better. Wale slaying!

Bottle Logic won best brewery for me--poured two unlisted bottles for people waiting in their line.

Coconut ANTEAD by Kane best beer...absolutely delicious, and yet still tasted like beer...

Fun time...the clouds kept the sunburn and the heat to a minimum too. Still...my last one. Was a really good one to end on.

Garagiste did it for me again. I didn't try Mead X but that fucking blueberry waffles was delightful.

I'll echo that toward 2 or 3 o'clock the leakin' lines were a bit too long.

But other than that... as the kids would say... "))))) "

I'm still trying to work my wristband off, though.

It's almost a two handed job. The way those work is they have teeth to keep it from sliding back. Grab both ends and twist them together as tightly as you can without it knotting up. You should then be able to work the slide back. If it's still a little stubborn then twist it with some slight backward pressure and it should 'unscrew.'

Non-destructive escape is one of the things I dabble in from time to time.

First time attendee...thought it was fantastic. Minus the long lines for pee breaks around 2pm, zero complaints. So much good beer to go around. Thanks Tampa for the great 3 days!

Or you could just ask for a pair of scissors at the front desk at your hotel and cut it off

This might have been the best of the 4 years I’ve gone. So much space. No sun burns.

Any sleepers? I know the consensus was garagiste last year, so much that it won best in show. Any rumblings of the same this year?

Proof won best brew and brewery if I'm not mistaken with Blue Raspberry Evil Kiss. I saw the brilliant color but thought I'd be able to work my way back to it. Then I forgot. Goddamnit.

Bottle logic killed it as far as in line pours and quantity and quality.

Did anyone else notice prairie was missing? I was really looking forward to them.

Second this. Bottle Logic was the highlight of the day for me. Super friendly people. The beers weren’t bad either!

I thought it was probably the best run Huna day yet. And the variety of breweries was great.

For sleepers(great beers with no line) fieldworks ipas were fantastic and I thought modem tones from modern times was excellent.

The hyped breweries that lived up to the hype- AC, Bottle Logic, TG, Kane

I know CCB focused on Huna treatments, they have much better beers that they should have tapped. Would have at least liked to see the beers they released during beer week on tap.

3 Taverns had Geman Chocolate Helms Deep that was amazing. Never waited more then a minute for a poor. Definite sleeper at the fest

As the others mentioned Bottle Logic pouring bottles in line was totally kick ass. I had three pours while waiting. I went into the day with a pretty long hit list and only ended up missing two beers. The double barrel cake from Westbook and Bout it Bout from JW. My top 3 beers not in order, were Assassin, Black Magic, and Smortal Kombat.

My main take away from the day is that us locals are spoiled rotten. While Assassin and Black Magic were two of my favorite beers, I'm not sure in a blind tasting that I would pick it over Cycle Anniversary R1. I fell like I had many BA stouts throughout the day that are not of the quality of anything we get from Cycle or CCB.

Cheers to CCB for putting on an incredible event.

Plus Snickerdoodle about 3-4 booths down from 3 Taverns made this a regular pit stop.

Tasty mead. If I had to make it, it would be a tough call between them and Superstition, for best mead and meadery at Hunahpu's Day.

But best beer and best brewery? That's simply a different category, no?

That said, despite living next to a well regarded meadery, I wouldn't consider myself much of a mead connoisseur, and I'd hazard a guess most others attending the fest aren't either. When someone makes a mead that tastes shockingly identical to PB&J, it's not a big surprise that they're voted as an enjoyable experience. It sure is fun to try it, but not something I could drink more than 3 ounces of in a sitting. But it is a standout, memorable taster at a fest named after, and dominated in large part, by stout.

Speaking of beer, what'd you think of Proof and Mack House?

What's the deal with the Proof beer winning? I like Proof. I go there every time I'm in Tally. I've never had an amazing beer from them. I had at least 30 beers that were better than what won.
