People seem to be sleeping on the release today. It's still showing available after 15 minutes

maybe I'm an outlier, but I don't have much interest in triple IPAs. Could be why it didn't sell out in seconds this time.

Yeah most likely because its a triple. I just got mine 40 minutes after the release.

Passed for the same reason. Meet Local Singles was the best NEIPA at the anniversary festival. More singles and doubles!

Ive got too many triples still in my fridge. BL Frogger, HpB Irresponsible, Offshit Watch This and I swear something else. No more triples for me for a bit.

You can go ahead and drain pour Watch This, unless you are a masochist.

What JO said. Or do what I did. Give it to your mate who usually drinks tall boy cans of Lite who’ll drink anything you give him.

    Let's try this again.
    Bump.....
I'll be stopping in later today, after we hit Green Cheek down the way. I have to admit it has been a while since my last visit to Noble's. My last concert at the Grove, which was sometime last year. Hope TT will be as good as last time I had it. I miss the ole' Noble IPA's. We could use more showers in SoCal. New is good. Whats wrong with the classics? I can't wait for this expansion to be over.......how much longer now?

I feel like something has gone with their expansion, this seems like the expansion that never ends.

They had a sign detailing their expansion at their 5th year anniversary.

Just went to Noble for the first time the other day. It was a heavy brew day, especially after the Week of Logic, but a couple offerings stood out. Bean Bump and Whoomp! There It Is were the ones I liked the most. Everything else was really unmemorable.

That Samoa beer they tapped recently was a banger. Also, I need this expansion of theirs to move along post-haste!

Yesterday was a madhouse because both the Angels and Ducks were playing. I mean, that kind of scenario is rare and the staff were on top of things; but, it'd be nice to have a little bit more breathing room and a flat surface to put my drink on when it does happen!

Because You're Worth It lasted a whole 3 minutes rather than 10 seconds. Must be those Loral hops scaring people off.

In Irvine for work and have some time to stop by a couple places Friday afternoon.

Does Noble usually have better hoppy beers on draft than their current selection? Do they not put their special releases on draft?

For a brewery that gets a decent amount of hype for their special releases, Big Whig (not very good), Aim for the Fences/Netses, and tongue tickles is underwhelming.

I stopped in last week and was completely underwhelmed. Which is a bummer because they used to be so good. Tongue Tickles was extremely mediocre. But to answer your question, no, in my experience they do not have better hoppy beers on draft than their current selection.

If it's hoppy beers you seek, I would skip Noble and visit Green Cheek, or possibly (a longer drive) Riip or Beechwood.

As someone who works in Irvine, my condolences for having to be here. Get out as fast as you can, my good fellow beer advocate!

The main reason I like going to the brewery is Naughty Sauce.

As far as the IPAs go, Big Whig used to seem like a "shelfie" in that I'd see it a lot at local beer stores, and liked a lot for that, but now I don't think they've bottled it, or at least sent it down to SD, lately. Wouldn't be super excited to get it at the brewery, but if it was all that's there, I'd still enjoy it.

The couple times I've had Tongue Tickles, I thought it was great. Same with Nobility. One of the Showers series seems to be on tap a lot, although maybe not as much lately? Other than these, I don't think I've had any that really wowed me. The canned hazy IPAs, are awesome about half the time.

The hype they get is just a lingering, residual effect of the quality beers that they used to produce on a consistent basis. Those days seem to be gone. While they’ll still put out the occasional great beer, the consistency is not there anymore. While not bad by any means, the beer just isn’t what it used to be. Mind you, the bar was set pretty high by their former brewer, who is now at Green Cheek. If you have the time, I recommend you stop by both places and find out for yourself. But if your time is limited and can only do one, Green Cheek is the place to go.
