    Just drank a Dark Knight Returns and it was loaded with that green apple off flavor. Base beer is there but something is off and ruined it for me.

    Yup, reported the same here at the end of January. I'm not sure what the common denominator is, but not everyone is getting the acetaldehyde infection. I bought mine at TW Minnetonka.

    Bummer - I had one of these when it initially dropped and it was fantastic. Sad to hear its a crapshoot now.

    Thank you both! Due to furnace & water heater replacement, I've been avoiding dropping in on stores to cut down on any impulse purchases.

    You may want to read some of the reviews on the Central Waters thread before buying too many. Many posters didn't like it.

    Oh, I'm aware of the reviews. I will probably buy only one 4 pack just to say I tried it and knowing it's been on shelves for a while now, I'll probably hold off until I make a stop in looking for something else down the line.

    Not at all, thought it tasted like a butterfinger and seeked out a second bottle which I rarely do for any stout these days.
