Literally my favorite beer here. Gonna be a definite max out if possible. Moura is a close second n the sunflower but roll is my least favorite

NOTHING was amazing. Roll was just a cinnamon bomb. Pretty much zero vanilla. The great notion collab was all blueberry and heat.

Based on my tastings I disagree on both. Roll was certainly cinnamon forward but the vanilla was still very much present. Great beer and happy I maxed on this one.

The Great Notion Collab were as you said very much blueberry but there was a supporting casts of ingredients and flavor. As it warmed up it was 100% blueberry pancakes. I didn't get any heat, dangerously drinkable.

Entitled to your opinion my friend but I thought both were great and my GF agreed. Hope others enjoyed! Very well run event so far, the lines were backed up when I arrived but moved surprisingly quickly. Cheers!

I like very few fruited stouts and the Blueberry one was great. Everyone I talked to agreed that it was the highlight of the day. Can't wait for it to be bottled.

AGREED ... Paisley Cave was the best of the day for me. Considering this beer is young & not even ready for showtime, it was INCREDIBLE!!!

Semi-regret going Saturday to get my Passport, but didn't want to risk it. Still plenty of booklets left this morning.

Roll for Initiative was tasty. Could have used more vanilla, but I thought it was good enough. I'm sure the bottle will be better. Also glad that it seems thicker than JtR in mouthfeel.

Only other beer I had was the Paisley Cave. Delicious, wanted more of it, and if it's bottled...I am super down for the whole thing. Little hot, but honestly, I was totally enjoying it.

Such a good day, especially compared to last year coming out of state. BL has it going on. Jam the Radar and Daisy were far and way my favorites, besides all the amazing doggos.

So, unless something changed after we headed out at 9:30, anyone who showed up Day 1 looking for a booklet was able to get one. And yet I was waiting in line at 10:00 AM on St Pat's day a full 24 hours before the festival even started. I may need to rethink some life choices here...

It’s no Fundamental Forces, but I thought Roll was quite good. Glad I maxed my bottles.

Though i thought great notion was tasty for an early pull from the barrels, i was extremely disappointed with roll. The smell was the best part of the beer. Otherwise cinnamon dominates. Got zero vanilla. I’m hoping bottles will be different.

I mean, you wouldn't have been able to hear "Jurassic Park" when they opened the doors passport line. :grinning:

Yeah, hindsight is 20/20, and I told myself last year that I wouldn't get worried. Maybe next year I'll follow that advice (I know I won't).

@bottlelogiclindsay Not to still your thunder away from WOL, but inquiring minds want to know. What is Brewery X? That is a MASSIVE building for a new brewery so something tells me it isn't some random new company. I'm sure you can't spill the beans on everything but any clues at all would be awesome

The city's planning department is scant on details but the applicant is someone named Scott Pennington.

I just started a post about this so we don't hijack the good people at BL. Would you mind posting it in there? Also, can you provide the link so we can click on and zoom on the picture. There is a lot of detail there that can't be read.

    Done.

And, getting back on track, can anyone relay on how things are looking for Day Two?
