What beer are you drinking now? #1977

Doesn’t look or feel like Spring. Cheers all.

 

Good morning, afternoon, or evening BAs! Another sunny day here in NW PA - another off our annual 30 sunny days. Much as I like the winter sun, I wish we didn't use it all up before summer. Oh well - that just means another bumper crop of moss and fungi in my garden this year. Today's New Breakfast Beer:



Pretty decent Murrican doppelbock.

 

That looks familiar

 

That's a HA Daisy Cutter in the goblet glass with a view of desiccated grass... and seeing these pics of snow from back East makes me jealous. It's been such a desert-dry winter for us here on the Front Range of Colorado. Really need some moisture... so the beer will have to do.

 

Taste on entry is citrusy hop forward leaning toward a firmer sort of bitterness. Simple flavors that run parallel without merging, every time I think I'm finding some malt hops quickly overshadow the malt presence. Flavors are consistent throughout and last into the aftertaste.

 

A good basic to get back to!

In the back ground some frozen shrimp skewers defrosting in the evening sun. Still not sure why I bought these frozen, since we live only some miles away from the sea side. Just to give it a try.

Man, I realize that people like to state that Dany Prignon changes his recipes all the time, but I wasn't expecting a beer that looked or tasted like this... and I've had Hiver before. Fortunately, this one is actually better than past versions that I've had. Fantastic beer. Misanthropic music day anyway!
