A most checkered past but, apparently, Jon had the flu. I will give them exactly one more chance.

Wow, you guys are harsh. Give the guy a break, apparently he's had a tough time getting one. Remember, it's just beer and while it's just a topic of conversation to us, it's his life. I wish them the best and hope that they finally catch that break that they've been needing.

Tbf it's not his brewery. I can't imagine that his employers are all too happy thus far.

Yes please let's take a moment to laugh at someone who may have been seriously ill.

My last comment on it. But it must be nice to have the luxury.

The luxury of the flu? Sure hope that's your last comment on the subject.

Before the "flu" becomes a thing, are we sure that's the reason they haven't been open again? Yes, Jon posted a reply on a FB post that said he had the flu. But, from the first day they were open in February they said they didn't know when they were going to open again.

If it was the flu and he couldn't brew more beer, that's actually good. Please don't anyone brew beer when you have the flu, thankyouverymuch. The flu has been especially bad this year, I don't wanna drink a beer that has been touched by a person with the flu.

But I don't think they were planning on being opening regularly...yet. From the initial FB post when they opened in February for the 1st time:

"Stay tuned for details on when we will open again. We aren’t quite at the point we need to be to open every week right now but, we will be busy trying to crank out some beers to get us there."

Just guessing here, but I doubt the flu virus could survive in the acidic environment that is beer.

Could be wrong but I would guess there is a lot more going on here then the flu...The posts about "staying tuned" and "sneak preview" etc. all started 14 months ago. It's not like they had to build out the tap room or get it permitted (I would assume). All they needed was the beer. There is likely more to this story......

I think there's definitely more to the story than we need to worry about and just hope that the end game is having another quality brewery within the central CT striking distance, whenever that happens.

Yup, I'm good to just let this play out and not be negative about it. I know Jon's beer is killer (and I miss it bad). I just hope whatever is happening is resolved and they can get themselves open on a consistent basis.

And they are “almost positive” they will be open next week. Love that business model...

Stayed tuned for next “pop up” beer sale during this stage of “pre-opening”

    Hilarious.
