Looks like I get the honor of starting today's WBAYDN. Not a bad way to celebrate another successful circumnavigation of the sun. You can't drink all day if you don't start in the morning. Cheers!

Good morning BAS! It's starting off to be a sunny day here in NW PA. Today's New Breakfast Beer:

Now I remember why I don't drink cream ales.

This really is a very good NEIPA and absolutely on par with stuff from the greats. Intoxicating tropical/citrus fruit nose and a great balance of sweet tropical and zesty citrus fruit in the taste, with an underlying grassy, slightly dank and herbaceous note as well.

By the way, this is what a NEIPA actually looks like when not all done up with special lighting and photoshop. It's a murky, dark amber coloration, not the opaque, bright yellow/orange that the style has become famous for.

Always impressed with this educated BA crowd. Why do I even bother speaking English here when everybody could understand me speaking French?

It's an English speaking forum I guess, and I comply with the rules.

    Cheers Colorado!

Hey, grew up in a bilingual household (Dad: French, Mom: American). Can't help but Frenchify once in a while. Plus, it just sounds classier sometimes.

Revisiting this a month after I had it for the first time at a month old. Tastes no different to me, if anything it seems more bitter and dank than I remember, but that may just be my perception because I just had a more typical NEIPA with very low bitterness beforehand. Still, I will say that this is actually pretty bitter, certainly by NEIPA standards, but even generally speaking. It also certainly tasted no worse at two months old than at one month.

One shouldn't forget about America's diversity. A third Irish here, a quarter German there, some Indian (Native) or Mexican blood here and there...Large country, diverse folks.

Well, yes. It is amusing to see the weird nationalist-racist and anti-immigrant stuff of late. Just boggles my mind. We're all mutts and immigrants (unless your name is Kim Tallbear or something like that). Never been a nationalist, and still don't get it. Think of all the great food and drink, too, we wouldn't have without any additional immigration.
Now... back to beer! A plus ****!

Entirely agree. Even living rural in the West, we can now enjoy all kind of food and drinks without having to travel much. Though nothing beats traveling for real life amazing experiences.

''Travel is fatal to bigotry, prejudice and narrow-mindedness'' once wrote Mark Twain.

Let's forget about realpolitik though, back to discussing beers!
