This really isn't all that difficult to follow:

1. These tickets were not meant for you. So a bunch of people that weren't supposed to purchase them did.
   
2. Sarah White, Three Floyds communications director, stated there was a problem with the ticketing site and those who purchased tickets will be issued refunds.
3. The end.

 

Everyone who bought tickets early should be lynched and hanged! This is an outrage! There needs to be a federal investigation! Banned from DLD for LIFE! Lock em up!!

Yeah its basically the same, I mean the specific DLD Etix ticket buying site totally has everyones SSN, CC, DOB, Address.

It was a shitty pre-sale code not a breach.

The complaints and stuff in here are crazy, It's Three Floyd's this is exactly what you should expect from them, they aren't organized and they aren't sophisticated/smart enough to figure out who legit bought em and who didn't.

Love that FFF is rewarding creativity. I'll let everyone know where I'm cutting a hole in the fence at DLD and what the RFID codes are once I pull and dupe them...

 

Gotta be honest, I'm not really worried about this impacting availability next weekend. Do you guys really think any of these people wouldn't have also been buying tickets at exactly noon next Saturday?

 

I’m not worried about it impacting availability either. But, it’s a bad move by them to honor the tickets IMO. Just cancel them all and get their s**t together in the future with not having passwords any moron could guess.

 

They would, but do you think their mother's would have been in front of their computers exactly at noon?

 

They probably aren't cancelling them because there was a group of 'some people' who probably got a pre-sale code. Now FFF can't determine who was supposed to get the code and who just guessed correctly. Rather than pull tickets from people who should have gotten them, they'll just let everyone keep them.

 

All I know is, next year I'm trying dld2019 and I bet it works.

 

I was hoping that the password field was still available and that would have been the first password I would have tried...or like darklordday2018. I bet one of those would have worked. You really couldn't have made this situation up if you tried. I can't wait to see what happens after everyone buys tickets.

 

No way they make that mistake twice. I guarantee it'll be 2019DLD.

 

Was there an option for a DLD Fast Pass for $100 more so you get to move to the front of each line?

DLD 2018, the year the tickets went on sale before they went on sale.
