Had one of these along with a Rogue Dead Guy Ale earlier at a family gathering and now we're home watching the Michigan/FSU game:

Good evening all out in BA-land known to some as the 'virtual bar.' I went out today looking for some Enjoy By IPA that apparently hit the Florida market this week...however, I was unsuccessful sourcing any here in the FT. Lauderdale area. What I did find were two of my favorites...one that I haven't seen since relocating and the other, a fresh drop from my boys over in Belgium.

    Round 1:
However, I started things off with some local love:
...I love this beer and is one of the few IPA's I could session. For now, I am relegating myself to one so I can enjoy a melange of flavors. On to freshness:
    ...less than a month fresh.

    Round 2:
Per my introduction, I found (3) 4-Packs on the shelf and quickly snatched them up...the first I have seen since relocating:
...check it out in my new, fancy-shmansy Dogfish Head Wood-Aged beer glass :-O

Oh, and the freshness is just killer:
...I don't think I've ever had Palo Santo Marron just over a month since packaging. What a discovery to find some and to know that it actually makes its way down as far South as Florida.

    Round 3:
Tickling my soul with a beautiful Belgian:
...Call it what you will, but I don't think it classifies as a proper Quadruple. However, it certainly qualifies as absolutely delicious! As to whether I prefer the white (original) or black label, I don't think I could ever draw a conclusion.
Packaged 15 July 2015...this is tasting as it was originally released. Van Steenberge ales age with the best of 'em!

    Round 4:
Last, but NOT certainly the least...arguably my favorite brew and brewery:
    Freshness:
...the most fresh to drop here in sunny Florida. Bottled in October 2017 and released from the Duvel conditioning cellars in December 2017. You will not find anything here in The States any more fresh than this. Drinking beautifully as all other batches. #consistency

I hope you enjoyed my timeline of drinking today...time to get ready for NBS!

This is the first time I've had a beer with Belma. I'll be interested to see how it is utilized in the future because it definitely is unique and distinct.

Moving on to this. An ale brewed with lemon, honey, and wheat and then aged in bourbon barrels. Lemon leads the aroma & flavor but the other ingredients avoid it from overpowering:

After all these beer drinking years I still make boneheaded mistakes. Earlier I stated this brew was Nelson and Simcoe lupulin powder. Im drinking this again and thinking where is that green grape/ grassiness you get from Nelson? Well I made the mistake of not reading the can and just listening to my local beer retailer (who gets great brews and is usually accurate). This is actually a collab and is - well see label. Stll great beer but info was not correct. Shitsky.[IMG] [IMG]

Well that was debacle. Went outside & the grass was on fire. The Mrs. Had way too much fuel (wood & such ) to start it. Had to stomp it out, plus break out the hose, In the mean time we were using a pot and getting water outta the hot tub. Probably about 24 sq feet of grass charred...

I guess next time I will walk the area prior to ignition:grimacing:

Hotdogs & smores still tasty...Oh yeah, Clown Shoes The Stranger Hoppy Wheat PA

I don't quite know how to get my hands on that box, but I do know I've got a kidney I probably don't really need all that much, now that I think about it.
