    Hotel beer which is an amazing beer, after sharing a few with a great guy. We had 18 KBS, Spencer Trappist brewings Stout, a Double IPA by decadent called double toasted marshmallow. Now this

    Moving on to an IPA this balmy overcast day:



    We were thinking we would take the dogs to the Dog Bark bar this evening, but Mrs. Z is still out thrifting and I’m happy to unburden our fridge ... my own special kind of housecleaning :sunglasses:

    Live Oak Gold, this is one amazing Pilsner, along with the some solo albums from Coltrane's band. McCoy Tyner's Sahara is ridiculously intense, and Elvin Jones Live at the Lighthouse is one of my favorite live albums. I don't have anything from Jimmy Garrison, but he did a trio album with Jones and Joe Farrell of all people. My buddy who plays bass for a living has that, and his record collection puts mine to shame. He also plays with people like Matthew Shipp, and played the eulogy for Ornette Coleman in Fort Worth, as well as uses an old bass from Charles Mingus as his primary instrument...so yeah he gots me beat by a factor of 10000 for coolness :slight_smile:

    Aroma from the bottle is purely maple syrup, bacon, and eggs which confines upon entering the glass. Whereby, more chocolate, cocoa, molasses, caramel and vanilla start to shine; this monstrosity opens its doors to sweet caramel, toffee, brownie, and distant coconut-flaked marshmallows. Yet with patience, and more progression, one will be sure to discover the exquisite smoked wood character, sap, and liquorice. There’s a sharp, potent, vegetal/fruit aspect lingering amongst the bitter char and espresso delight. However, nothing threatening of the impressive maple feat with a sticky, creamy, and smooth feel
