Happy Friday. Maybe it's my palate on this particular day but this is possibly the best KBS batch in memory. Rich, sharp flavors but mellow as all hell. Cheers!

 

Hopsmack DIPA by Toppling Goliath. Decided to not go to the pub in the first Good Friday in over 90 years that bars were open in Ireland, happy enough drinking this cracker!

The temp has backed off to 80, so I’ll hang for awhile before I go inside and begin dinner prep...

Just got back last night from a quick little vacation with the family, so doing some unpacking today. Had a great time taking the kids to the Safari Park down in Southern Oregon, as well as to the beach. Weather was perfect the whole time too! In addition to several new beers I was able to try on the trip, I grabbed a growler of Two Shy's Mt. Bailey cream porter and am getting into some of that right now..

Scherzer is mowing down most of the lineup today. The Nats offense isn't stepping up greatly, though. Weather has turned windier and colder. Evil empire owned offering might be the cause:

Picked this up a few months ago, knowing it'd probably be my last chance to have it.

After a long, hectic day at work, at the end of a long, hectic week, this is hitting the spot, although it kinda scuppers my involved cooking plans for dinner. After this 16.8% Beast, I think I'll confine myself to re-heating food, and leave actual cooking for tomorrow.

 

Reaver Beach City of Bones IPA... now in 16oz cans. Had this at the brewery late last year, glad to revisit it.

Dangerously drinkable at 7.2%. Love how the can specifies single dry hopped single ipa. Too bad you don’t get a discount for single dry hopped beers these days...

The weekend has arrived BAs!

Picked up two four packs of KBS on the way home with zero hassle, we live in a great time to be a beer geek. I don't miss the days of running all over to find a few bottles.

Kicking off the weekend with a Rev Northwest Hero.



Tasting great and definitely reminiscent of northwest brews. Piney, dank, mild citrus. Good malt balance. Moderate-high bitterness lingers with the dry finish. A well done classic IPA from Rev.
