Really curious how AC's next bottle release is gonna work. With the pace at which they release, it has to be soon right?

I found the end of the line in Iowa. The neighbors are pissed.

The line has merged with the line at TG of people waiting for spare bottles of Assassin.

rbeertrate, scotchswap, and cigar trading are working together to come up with a new medium but they are keeping the info limited for now since they want to have a good launch and be ready for prime time.

Stopped in AC today. Lots of great stouts on tap, double barrel Popinski, CLN LVN, BA Fionn, Triple C’s . and Awakenings. Also had Rainbow Sherbet(Berliner) on which was amazing. Very little available for crowler fills, but the tap list was great today

Tap list was great. I was disappointed with BA Fionn though. I feel like their BA beers don’t take on a ton of barrel character but maybe it’s just me. Anyone know how long they aged their beer?

I liked BA Fionn better than BA Rocky Road simply because it was less sweet and yet still had plenty of toasty hazelnut. That said, I agree I never get a lot of barrel out of BA AC stouts, but I got some noticeable woodiness and dark charred oak out of BA Fionn that I didn't notice in others...would be curious to know length of time in barrels as well.

Their BA beers are still all about the adjuncts front and center. Which is what is generating lines. I agree they aren’t pulling big barrel notes from the aging, just hints. But it’s keeping the adjuncts in full flavor. So still very good beers but not quite on style for what people expect from barrel aging. I bet they will get better at this process over time and strike more of a balance. The original ba popinski had more barrel character but was still a shade behind the breweries doing it perfectly.

I mean the difference between igccs and ba igccs is just a slightly less sweet version. Which IMO makes it better but not at the acquisition cost difference.

BA Fionn was probably my favorite beer I had on draft there last week. Mostly because it's easily the most balanced beer I've had from them, where most are suuuper sweet. CLN LVN was really meh, BA No Promises was surprisingly fantastic, GCCS B1 was... pretty terrible actually, but cool to be able to at least try that one. Oh and they had Reboog Vitis on draft as well which was great as always.

My favorite beer of the week probably came at Cycle, but the overall draft list at AC was pretty insane. Always glad to make it down there.

That's pretty awesome they had all that on draft! Curious to know which Cycle brew that was.

It was one of the 3 Cuvee's they had on draft, Cuvee` 1, which was a blend of the DB Dos beers... I think... cuz the "too cool for school" bartenders were as terrible as every other time I've been there and couldn't describe the beer in the least.

To be fair to their bartenders, Eric himself couldn't exactly remember what was in each cuvee when I talked to him at BA day.

Oh it wasn't even the fact they didn't know. It was the same general sense they were annoyed that anyone was actually in there, ordering beer, that I've gotten every time I've been there. Beer was great as always though.

I generally have the same feeling when visiting Cycle. Their beer is my favorite but the atmosphere there is just terrible. It's like everyone there hates the fact that they work there. That said it never stops me from going.

I've been to a lot of breweries and most of the time the person slinging the beer isn't very engaging. The bartenders at CCB tend to do pretty well though if they aren't busy.

I agree that cycle could be more friendly. Most brewery bartenders, even if not 100% knowledgeable, try to answer questions. Cycle will give you a yes, no or I don’t know without explanation. I never have a bad time there, but that’s because I know what I want when I go. A casual drinker would most likely be put off after a visit to Cycle.

I've been to hundreds, never one where the people that have worked there for years, and probably made way the fuck more than they deserve in tips, acted like you were doing them a disservice by buying drafts of shit beer. Seriously, had the Juice is Loose while I was down there and they should have paid me to drink that sewage. Must be tough working at an in demand brewery in St fucking Pete  Here I am livin the insurance dream in Akron Ohio :poop:
